Ayami

As usual Emily and I went to the café near the campus after the class.

“You can go ahead and give her a call, I will order” she said as I looked for a seat.

I found a two-seater near the pond at the back of the café.

I dialled her number in my phone.

“Hey Ayami.” She responded within two rings.

“Hey K, I just called to make sure you were okay since you didn’t attend classes today.”

“Oh yeah I am at the company, there was a board meeting so I had to go, sorry I didn’t give you a heads up”

“Ah no its alright.” I said

“How is grandma and aunt?” she asked

“I don’t know I haven’t seen them yet.”

“What do you mean?”

“After the library incident I haven’t seen grandma, my mom came to sent you off and I haven’t seen her after that either.” I explained

“….”

“You are at work. right? I will call you later” I said

“Yeah, ok bye” she said

Thankfully she seems fine compared to last day.

“Did you call her?” Emily asked as she brought the drinks

“Yeah. she has work”

“Oh, and I will drop you at your house today” I told her

We were both busy with our works, when suddenly a hand swept off my drinks from the table.

 I looked up to see Alex and a bunch of guys around him. A group of insufferable miscreants who everyone wishes never existed.

I didn’t pay attention to him and returned my gaze to the lap screen and continued my work.

“it’s already crowded in here, how about you guys find some other place to dump your garbage” Emily glared at the men behind Alex

A slight smirk touched my lips.

“Wanna laugh at the dump joke by your friend, eh?” he sat across facing me.

I didn’t take my eyes of the screen.

“ya know I thought you were going to be friends with that little bitch, since she isn’t around today looks like y’all aren’t friends with her.”

My jaw clenched. If I could punch him, I would have but that would be a stupid move.

Alex, spoiled son of Earl groups, he was our senior at school and now here too. Jerk then, bigger jerk now. starting a fight with them will be a stupid move because we stand at two different level, that’s what he considers as an advantage too. Mama’s boy will go back crying to his mother and use their authoritarian powers as his advantage.

The confidence this boy have is what I need for exams. Goes on to call other’s a bitch, when he is the biggest one.

“let’s go” I closed the lap

 Emily got up and followed me.

“Well, we have all the time in the world baby” he snarled behind me

God, I wanna vomit so bad right now

It was already 6 when I came back to the mansion. I went and took a bath and completed the work for today and read a bit about some spells. I went down for dinner at the empty dining hall.

The maid kept my portion of food in front of me.

“Is grandma and mom at the ritual place?” I asked her

She hesitated “yes. But you are not allowed there miss”

“Okay. I’m not going there” I assured her

I went back to my room and before I knew it, I fell asleep

The phone screen lit up   'Kayda<3'

“Hey, Kayda. Good morning” I said as I picked up the call.

“Good morning, Ayami. Are you going to class today?” She asked

“yep” 

“Okay, I will be coming today; see you there”

“sure” I kept my phone down after she end the call.

I want to see izar, and make sure he is fine

“Ugh. I might as well go insane at this point”
