Now, I suppose I should give you some context as well. These events all happened in early Victorian Era England, and the Clemens family was wealthy and very essential in their area. The three children's parents, like I mentioned, were very necessary for everything around them to continue as it should. Their father, Albert Clemens, was a baron, and their mother, Adelia Clemens, was a baroness.
They lived in a very pretty and a very large house that must have had over one hundred rooms, though a few were most likely servant quarters where the servants and their kids, like Henry, resided. Another notable fact is that this house was by the sea, and the children often went there. The house too at times could be considered eerie or frightening, mostly by little Edith. This is because they were in Yorkshire, and as most know Yorkshire England would get a lot of rain, making the house somber, wearisome, and perhaps even frightening.
However, Baron and Baroness Clemens were not as kind as their children. The Baron was rude and cold to everybody, even his children, and the Baroness wasn’t much better, though she at least attempted to raise her children.
