It's been a while since I treated a bullet wound. I hope it works—but if it doesn't, that's fine. It's not like I really want to save him anyway.

There's a knock at the door. I feel heavy, like I’m dragging myself across the floor, but I’m sure that’s Mr. Kim.

“Here I come." opens door. "Lawyer Kim."

“ Just call me Henry.”

“Okay Henry.”

“Hope you haven't eaten yet, I brought Chinese food and fried chicken”. You know Mr.kim's grin always reaches his blue eyes unlike that crazy pale deity. It always makes me smile to see him. His blond hair compliments them also.

“Oh great, I haven’t had a chance to eat. Come in, I’ll grab some plates—and explain to the half-dead man on the couch.”

“Oh… okay.” He seems hesitant, maybe he's not use to that much blood. I’ll explain everything while we eat so he doesnt think I'm doing something crazy.

“So just to be clear... you found him in an alley?”

“Yup.”

“I sent you out just a few hours ago. How did you manage to find a half-dead man and why bring him here and not call an ambulance? “ I forgot how straight forward he is and he sounds like my mom when he's like this, it's nice.

“An ambulance makes things complicated especially since he's the Marchetti heir.”

“...What do you mean?”

“I mean that's Salvatore Marchetti.”

“He's one of the heirs to the one of the most deadliest criminal empires” Louis you gotta wear a better poker face. I see the worry on your face.”

“Yes. That's why I figured calling would trigger the police being involved, and we know how they feel about that.This fried rice is great. Do you want some more before I finish it off?”

“How are you so casual about this? Why aren't you panicking?”

“Because you only have to fear something if you don't know what it's capable of. Once you know how far it will go then you don't have to fear it anymore, you control it. These dumplings are fire. Like really they got some heat to them”

“Angie Your words scare me.“

“I tend to do that sometimes, especially when I feel something is irritating my soul.”

Just looking at him laying on the couch ignites a fire in my soul. After this is over you better watch your back.

I'm so glad I didn't use a sedative so he could feel every bit of me cleaning and sticking his wound. That basted once I'm done with that being ill kill him like he did to me

“Has he gained concourses at all since he's been here?”

“He's been in and out but when he's woke he screams because of the pain. It's the most wonderful feeling that you'll never know.”

“Has anyone ever told you a genius usually lacks empathy?”

“Yes, one man did. But he was also a genius.” That man is you but that's another story.

“So just to try and make this conversation normal, what's your plan?”

“My plan is to first get emancipated, and get the funds and use them to make money. “

“Then what about him?”

“I have my plans for him. I'll make sure you're not connected to this in any way. I'll have him out before the weekend.”

“I'm not as worried as I probably should be.”

“Good then this partnership is really going to work out well. “

“But, I think it's smart for me to stay with you as long as he's here”

“No, it's fine. I really don't want to pull you into my mess. I'll make sure to clean this up on my own without involving you.”

“Okay I won't push but if you need help I'm only a call away.”

“I know and I appreciate that.”

Later that night

For someone so smart, she really lets her guard down easily.

My phones vibrating. I guess I'll head out. I was hoping she would wake up before I left but we'll be seeing each other very soon.

He walks outside to the car.

“So how did you end up here Sal?” Marc’s suite is as unkempt as mine; he must have been working all night with me disappearing.

“I was being chased and was shot.”

“What the hell?”

“Hmm, the real question is how did the Taso family know I was in that area? The contact didn't show up.”

“He was found dead a mile away from where you were shot.”

“Figured.” I didn't even expect him to show.

“So we might have a rat, Sal.”

“Not just any rat, one that knows my habits. I need you to look into someone. Her name is Angela Moore. Here's her info. She seems to be in that place only for a little while before she skips town.”

“Okay boss. It's strange, I haven't seen you smile in a while, it's kind of scary.”

“Yeah, I just found something interesting, that's all.”
