Simming gear has been a thing in WoW for a fair few years now. While I don't hate it, it is sort of representative of a general soullessness that pervades the game since I returned to raiding after a few years hiatus.
Don't get me wrong, I see how it's helpful, and I use it even now, but... well, some people, like Navyssa above, take it too far.
