“...Mum.”
This could not be happening, I would not let this happen, not today - or, in fact, ever. In my moment of despair, I realised that I was right about my ‘dream’ and that it was not a dream at all - it was a vision. Someone, or something, was trying to tell me something. Whatever it was, I didn’t like it AT ALL. Mum was alone, trapped in some weird dream / vision world and I had no idea how to reach her. I had tried to control the dream / vision before, the last time it had entered my mind, but I just couldn’t. It was a hopeless, impossible task and I was already overwhelmed with fear. How could I save her?
I finally came up with a solution and decided to re-enter the vision (not a dream) to see how it plays out and work on something from there. I cleared my brain and plunged back into the darkness.
The wisps of colour led me to where mum was lying. It looked like she was asleep but conscious at the same time. Her eyes were closed but she was moving and grabbing at the wisps as if she could see. I didn’t know what to do so I looked behind me and froze in fear. The multiverse was watching me.
