“You’re taking her side?!” complained Bunns. She slightly lifted her mask without revealing her face and spat onto the floor. She put her mask back on properly and turned to Apollyon: “You’re lucky I still love you, babe.” she said. She ran away, her dress’s puffy skirt jumping with her every step.

      Apollyon hugged me from behind, making me stiff. “You okay little lady?” he asked. I pushed him away. “My back is super sore, no thanks to you.” I whined. “Bunns is tough, despite her thin silhouette.” I said. Apollyon chuckled lifelessly. “Ask that to me. She’s MY ex, think of what she did to me when I left her.”

      Apollyon started telling the story of when they broke up: “She was very obsessive during our relationship. She never let me go, never let me breathe. One day, I especially needed space. My right-hand gang member, Lucas, was killed by another gang. On that day, I had enough. I told her I hated her and sent her away. She didn’t leave, of course. She beat me up real bad, the scars are still there. Here, look.” he showed his heavily scarred arms to me. I was grossed out! “Ew!” I said. Apollyon laughed at my disgust. “The scar on my face is also from her.” He patted me on the shoulder. “See you later, soldier.” he said before leaving. I immediately grabbed Ugly from the dirty floors.

      I left for home. The situation had me thinking; is Bunns gonna come back for me? Why did Apollyon hug me? That was disgusting!... A little nice, I guess. But terrible! I opened the door to my home, the cozy air comforting me. I saw my mom who was waiting at the door for me. “Lizzy, dear, there’s a ball next week wednesday! You should cancel tomorrow, we need to get you a pretty dress!” WHAT?! “Mom, tomorrow is my first lesson! Please let me go tomorrow, we could buy dresses the next day!” I pleaded. I NEEDED to go see Apollyon tomorrow! I mean- I needed to go ride motorcycles tomorrow! My mom sighed. “Alright little lady, but we WILL go the next day, and you can’t cancel it for ANYTHING.” she declared. “Alright mum.” I mumbled.

      I went to my room and continued my motorcycle sketches. I found myself sketching Apollyon’s face. When I realized, I smashed the notebook close. This… was embarrassing. I jumped onto my warm pink bed; I pulled the sheets onto me and closed my eyes. When I closed my eyes I only saw Apollyon so I opened them wide. I hate him, why does he take up so much space in my mind like this?! No sleep for me tonight, I guess.

      When school was over it was finally time for the motorcycle lesson! I waited for Apollyon by THE bush. When I saw him coming I felt my heart beat faster. I wanted to rip my heart right out at that moment. I hate that my body reacts positively to this prick!

      “Sooo…where are the motorcycles?” I asked. Apollyon winked. “Follow me.” he said. I followed him a long way. He led us to a field where there were four motorcycles and the weird girl who called me muscular standing next to one of them. There was also a man from the gang standing next to his motorcycle.
