He enters his house. Debra is surprised to see him so early. “Did you do your kill that quickly? It usually takes you hours just to move the body back to them,” she points out. The assailant is silent. She thinks he is still mad at her for bringing up Ava. “Can you get me a class of water.” She nods and gets it for him. He drinks the full cup in less than 5 seconds. “I need you to be ready to leave this place,” he suddenly says, “I don’t know where we’re going to go, but I just need you to get ready.” Debra is shocked by the request. “Where is this coming from?” Suddenly there is a knock at the front door. “Please just get everything you can,” he pleads one more time. She obliges and begins packing food and water. He approaches the front door and takes a pause before opening it. “Hey bud,” the man at the door says after it is opened for him. “Hey Dean,” the assailant responds. Dean is making a smile. One that can be easily seen as being forced. “Some people said they saw you get back into town, which I can obviously see is the case now, but we did not get any target body from you today. The assailant doesn’t even try to come up with an answer. He quickly shuts and locks the door in front of Dean’s face. The assailant quickly grabs Debra and everything she packed and they both exit out the back door. They run into the wasteland as Dean walks away from the house.
The assailant lives a life stained by violence, working as a hired killer for a shadowy organization known as The Huntsman. His only solace is Debra, his wife, with whom he shares a quiet but strained existence, the ghost of their lost daughter a constant presence. When a chance encounter with a young girl triggers a buried conscience, he breaks his oath and becomes the hunted. Forced to flee, they seek refuge in a seemingly peaceful village, only to find that the long reach of The Huntsman extends even to this remote haven. A relentless and brutal tracker is on their trail, turning their desperate flight into a deadly game of cat and mouse.
