Dean is waiting in his office. He has a person he is expecting. He doesn’t know what kind of person. That is what is causing his worry. He is wearing his usual clean business suit, as he always makes sure it is spotless. The white button up shirt underneath is just as clean. He thinks to himself about what the meeting is for and what has to be done. He doesn’t really think he wants it. But he knows it must be. He has always believed The Huntsman was the future of the new world. A knock at his office door alerts him that his gun for hire has arrived. “Come in1” Dean shouts through the door. The door slowly creaks open before being pushed open all the way by the man on the other side. The hired man steps through the doorway. He is tall and also dressed in only black clothing, including a black mantle. His head nearly hits the door frame as he enters the room. “You must be my boss,” the man says to Dean as he forms a smile. Dean gives him a look of appreciation. He wants things to not go this way. The hired man somewhat notices this on his face but doesn’t speak or comment on it. The hired man takes a seat. “What do you boys need from me this time?’ he curiously asks. Dean takes a moment to think about his wording. He has heard the man can be easily offended. “There is a man, one of our best, who has turned his back on The Huntsman.” The hired man is intrigued. His pale white skin is the same color as his clean teeth that are seen through his smirk. Dean continues. “He is with a woman about the same age as him. She is not of importance to us to be killed or left alive, so do with her what you wish.” He becomes even more intrigued. Dean thinks about his answer once again. He is uncertain if he should be truthful or tell a fib about where they went. “North is where I last saw them heading,” is what comes out of his mouth. The hired man smiles brightly, even snickering a little. “So an innocent woman and one of your best huntsman is who you are hiring me to kill?” he sarcastically asks for clarification. Dean nods. The hired man thinks with a still face, almost like it’s to hide his thoughts. “How much?” he asks. Dean is relieved that this is the only thing he has to say. “The quality of the job will determine your payment,” he responds. The hired man nods. “I’ll start the hunt tomorrow. Don’t start grading me until then.” He exits immediately after making the statement. Dean sits there alone with a feeling of accomplishment, yet also regret.
The assailant lives a life stained by violence, working as a hired killer for a shadowy organization known as The Huntsman. When a chance encounter with a young girl triggers a buried conscience, he breaks his oath and becomes the hunted. Forced to flee, they seek refuge in a seemingly peaceful village, only to find that the long reach of The Huntsman extends even to this remote haven. A relentless and brutal tracker is on their trail, turning their desperate flight into a deadly game of cat and mouse.
