Episode 5 — The Stranger Who Worked a Miracle

The grimório glowed early in the morning, as usual, ready to ruin Kael’s mental peace. He yawned, still lying down, staring at the floating screen with the energy of someone who wanted to ignore the mission and sleep for ten more years.

Location: Village of Lurden  

Issue: Vital Energy instability. Cause unknown.  

Time until collapse: 72 hours

“Of course, of course… if there’s no apocalyptic threat first thing in the morning, the day hasn’t really started.”

The ghost appeared floating sideways, looking just as sleep-deprived.

“How much you wanna bet you’re gonna solve this totally by accident again?”

“I bet I will.”

Kael got up and walked over to Lys, who was training her posture with the bent spear.

“Lys. Get ready. We’re going to a cursed village.”

“Sounds dangerous!”

“It is.”

“Perfect!”

**Two days later…**

Fog danced between the wooden houses of Lurden Village. People walked hunched over, some muttering nonsense, a lady shouted at a cat:

“GET OUT OF MY HAIR, FLAMING DEMON!”

Kael stopped at the village entrance.

“…Yeah. Seems chill.”

The mayor, a man with a whip-shaped beard, came running with two guards.

“Hey! Turn back! Don’t go in! It’s danger—”

(stopped when he saw Kael)

“B-By the ancestral beards… you’re…”

Kael answered with the calm of someone who had no clue what was going on:

“…a visitor?”

“You’re the one from the prophecy! The Spirit of the Vision! The Master of Hidden Harmony!”

Kael, face locked in neutral expression:

“Yes. Of course. That’s me.”

> System: Lie accepted successfully.

In the village square, a giant floating crystal pulsed with distorted Vital Energy. It caused hallucinations, emotional surges, and the sudden urge to spin in circles.

Kael looked at it and thought:  

“That thing’s either going to explode or give powers to a chicken.”

The grimório flashed:

> Corrupted Crystal. Requires emotional synchronization.

“…You’re saying I have to sing?”

Kael took a breath, climbed a rock with a branch in hand, and went:

“LAAAAAAAA-TAAA-TRU-KAAAA-POOOOOOOOOOO!”

He spun. He jumped. He pointed at the crystal.

“FLOW ALIGNMENT TECHNIQUE, THREE-PHASED HARMONY!”

The crystal stabilized. The fog disappeared. Silence fell.

An old man dropped to his knees.

“THE MIRACLE HAS HAPPENED!”

Another screamed:

“HE USED THE STAR-HIDDEN DANCE!”

Kael walked away with a serious face.

Lys ran after him.

“Master! Are you really from another world?”

“Me? Of course not.”  

(pause)
