I hung out with Celica this morning! Not just passing by and being aware of her existence, but actually talking! I have to say I loved it.
Intro to Poetry was canceled, so I decided to walk around town outside campus. I stopped by this little coffee shop I like, and ran smack into Celica in there. Honestly it startled the bejesus out of me. But while we were waiting for coffee, we got to chatting. And then—get this—we walked out and continued chatting.
I told her about my book writing, even though I haven’t actually done much writing since early November. She told me about how much she likes reading, and I had actually read all the books she talked about (look at me appearing all cultured)!
We got back to campus on the far end by the STEM buildings, and ended up walking by Summer on her way between classes (she’s a chem major). I waved and everything, but I was busy talking with Celica so I didn’t stop to say hi.
Whatever, right? The only thing is, Summer’s been acting kind of weird since she saw me talking with Celica. I know she’s straight, but she never struck me as homophobic or anything. This feels different. Like she knows something I don’t. Or she thinks I know something she doesn’t.
