Noa's POV

With a sigh, I dropped the call. Kevin was being annoying right now. Though, I couldn't shake the thought that he might be working for Summer just to get under my skin. I called Ria, my partner-in-crime and told her the situation.

"Look up on any information on Kevin, especially for tomorrow," I replied. "He might just make an entrance."

"On it."

Just then, I saw another car behind me. I looked through the rearview mirror to see Kevin's red Porsche behind me, hot on my tail. Letting my street race side of me come out, I sped up, not thinking twice of the speeding tickets I will have to pay. I swerved, overtaking the other cars in the most limited spaces, just to escape Kevin. 

He too was a great racer, considering that he and I used to do this when we still dated. Gosh, such an obsessed ex. I racked my brain for another route. The last decision I made was to go to my Dad's company, which was going to be another 15 minutes to get there since I was on the highway. 

I took another sharp overtake and this time, I off ramped to the RNT Corp. There is a saying that goes, "Confuse your enemy," which sometimes includes your ex.

Letting out a sigh of relief, I reduced my speed and this time another call came through, luckily, from Selene.

"Selene?"

"Noa, you need to get here now."

"Talk to me."

"Dax and Albert. They have something about your father that you need to know."

"Pretty much know the whole story. Is it about the failed engagement to Rhea?"

"Richard had a failed engagement?"

"Another story for another time. Anyway, what's it about?"

"They have the footage."

"Footage of what?"

"The murder of Rhea."

"Coming."

"What is this that I am hearing? Murder? Alaina?" I asked. "I know they are manipulative, but they wouldn't... right?"

Selene showed the laptop screen to me and played the footage. There, I saw Rhea and her husband walk into the scene, get shot at random and soon after, Alaina along with Summer went to check if they were really dead. Afterwards, they burnt the place down and drove away.

I walked away from the screen, trying to process everything. This was new to me. Grandma Alaina and aunt Summer killed... Rhea and Rave Jinns? Surely, I know dad always spoke of Rhea and the whole failed engagement because of Dax's 'meddling' but, I didn't expect to see full blood war happen, especially for a highly esteemed family like the M.

Then, at the same time, it made sense to me. Selene's sudden drive for revenge... she knew about the murder, but just didn't know how to expose it. I looked at Selene, walking back to her, giving her a skeptical look. I needed answers, because this... this would break the internet and divide the family into pieces!

"So you did know about this," I said, words finally coming out of my mouth. I turned to look at her. "Didn't you?"

"I did."

"For how long?" I asked. "This... even aunt Raella would be shocked to find out about this."

"And adding up to the murder footage, there is also a headline that disappeared into thin air, but it was about Rafael."

We looked at Dax, puzzled. "Who's Rafael?"

"Your eldest uncle."

Silence filled the room for some time before Albert took over.

"This is a lot to take in, but this is what you get - you all chose revenge. It will get heated."

"And we are ready for it."

Selene's POV

Noa decided to stay with the men, in case there was any new information along with Jana. Ramiro and I went back to the office because reception contacted us in the name of emergency.

"Could it be Alaina again?" Ramiro asked.

"I told them to escort her whenever she arrives. This has to be about him."

"Who's him?"

"Hey, Sel."

My brother, Beckham. A supportive older brother and has his own skeletons about the family that he decides to keep secret. He was at the office to discuss 'emergency.'

"Hope no one is dead," I said. "What's this emergency you are talking about?"

"I want to confess," Beckham spoke. "I need to expose some truth on the M family."

I smiled. "Let's start."

CONFESSION ROOM

Ramiro: (automated voice) So, Beckham, tell us. What do you know about the M family?

Beckham: The M family have a two fold side to themselves. They show themselves as welcoming, when in essence, they are cruel, and brutal. I have seen how they treated my sister - like a slave; like someone who has no family and has to rely on them for survival. I always wondered why Selene has stayed in this family for long but I guess she has a trick up her sleeve.

Ramiro: When did you realize this?

Beckham: When I went to visit her during the holidays. When I arrived, the atmosphere was tense, yet masked under warmth - fake warmth. The M family are to be feared - they are two-sided; under masks. They need to be exposed.

Beckham came out of the room and we chatted for some time before he brought up Noa.

"You want to know where Noa stays?" I asked, "Why?"

"I just missed my little sister, that's all."

I gave him the address and he waved goodbye. Though weird, I always knew that Beckham loved visiting me, Irina and Noa whenever he has time. Ramiro offered to go shopping for tomorrow evening - I even forgot that I had to get ready. This revenge got me running on adrenaline, I had to keep every ally close. 

Little did I know that our preparation for the cold war would begin this soon.

Noa's POV

"You better be careful at the event Noa, including Selene and Ramiro," Robert spoke, handing over the laptop to me and the flash drive to Jana. "Jana, tell Selene to keep all the confessions in there."

"Yes, sir."

"Thanks," I said, "I know, it's basically entering enemy territory-"

"There might be shootouts, don't forget you are dealing with a mafia uncle."

I nodded. "We will," I replied. "But how do you know?"

Dax interrupted, "There's a lot you don't know, Noa."

I looked at him, puzzled. "Okay? I mean, that isn't an answer-"

"You have a lot of fire in you like your father-"

I smirked, "It's not the first time I have been told."

I stood up along with Jana, both of us exchanging looks. I then looked at the three men, especially Dax. "You not answering the question is getting suspicious. It's either you spit it out, or I will let my M blood do the rest."

He eyed me coldly, "Spoken by a true M."

"Indeed, I will show you what a true M does with their tongue if you don't speak up and pick a side."

Silence filled the room. I continued, "So it's either you are with us, or against us. Choose."

They all gulped. "We are on your side, Noa and Jana."

"Good," Jana and I replied.

We walked out, but I paused, turning back at them. "Glad to see you picked the right side."

Leaving them with those words, we walked out. I looked at Jana and asked her to tell Selene we were done getting the info and had an additional 3 allies on our side. Just then, another notification came through.

"Not Kevin, please," I muttered to myself as I checked the news. My eyes widened as I saw the headlines of Beckham, with the words: "The M Family: Family Confessions."

Ironic enough, it was posted by Cybric Flash News - yet Selene hated the idea. I wonder what changed her mind?

Irina's POV

"Cybric Flash, I have got another hot story for you."

I sent them the copied recording I managed to get, thanks to my screen recording program that was running secretly on Selene's laptop.

"Thanks Irina. You are the best."

I dropped the call and called Beckham.

"Yeah?"

"Check up on the next target - Noa M."

"Roger."
