After the Divorce, My Ex-Husband Begged Me to Take Him Back

Thanks to Sarah's love for sharing, I got all the details of their three - day trip.

They went on a roller - coaster, soaked in a hot spring, and went bungee - jumping. These were all things I'd never done with Jack.

He loved excitement and the feeling of an adrenaline rush, but I couldn't stand those things.

He'd begged me to go bungee - jumping with him, the tandem kind.

He said it would be romantic and even wanted to take wedding photos like that. But when I stood on the bungee platform, I just couldn't take that leap.

Jack said it was okay, but I knew he was disappointed.

Thinking about it, Jack and I were so incompatible in many ways.

When we were blinded by love, we said that love could conquer all. Now it seemed someone had lied.

Jack came out wearing sunglasses, looking expressionless.

Sarah was clinging to his arm, chattering non - stop. She was walking briskly, with a big smile on her face, looking cute and innocent.

"Let's go there again next time, okay? For your birthday, it'll be our first..."

"Jack!" I waved and called out loudly. Sarah probably didn't hear me and kept talking, but Jack stopped in his tracks.

He pushed Sarah away and quickly turned to look at me. For a moment, I felt like I was a terrifying monster.

Sarah was clearly nervous. She stood there timidly, wanting to get closer to Jack but not daring to.

She was quite pitiable. Jack quickly regained his composure and said to Sarah, "You go first."

Sarah looked up at Jack, her lips trembling and her eyes filled with tears.

She didn't want to leave. So I played the good - guy. "Come with us. It's hard to get a taxi here."

Jack frowned and said sternly to Sarah, "Are you leaving or not?"

Sarah took a couple of steps back in fear. I also put on a serious face. "I said come with us!"

Sarah was quite something. In this situation, most people would have run away, but she actually followed us.

I walked in front, Jack was behind me, and Sarah trailed behind Jack.

Jack opened the passenger door, but I stopped him.

"There's something there. Sit in the back. It's not right to let the girl sit alone." Jack looked at me, his face expressionless but his eyes full of suppressed anger.

He let out a sneer, slammed the door, and got into the back seat.

The atmosphere in the car was extremely tense. I broke the silence.

"Miss Sarah, Jack and I need to talk. Do you want to come with us or should I take you back to school first?"

Caught off - guard, Sarah stammered, "I... I... I..."

Jack suddenly snapped, "What on earth are you up to?"

I glanced at Jack in the rear - view mirror. He was clearly annoyed, trying hard to hold back his temper.

But I felt a strange sense of satisfaction, and my smile grew wider.

"What's your major, Miss Sarah?"

"German!"

I was surprised. "The same as mine. I have a classmate who teaches at your school."

I mentioned a name and asked, "Do you know her?"

Sarah's face paled, and she replied weakly, "Yes, she's my homeroom teacher."

I laughed. "What a coincidence!"

In the end, I dropped Sarah off at school. She got out of the car and walked away quickly without looking back.

I asked Jack, "Where's the apartment you rented around here? Let's go up and have a chat."

Jack kept his eyes on me, gritted his teeth, and said, "What do you really want?"

I wiped the smile off my face. "I've been making you uncomfortable all this time.

Now, let's talk about the divorce."

After the Divorce, My Ex-Husband Begged Me to Take Him Back

I'm five years older than Jack. So, when he was 28, I was already 33.

He once told me that age would never be an issue between us.

However, later he said to his childhood friend, "I don't know why, but once Lily turned 30, I just feel she's... a bit off-putting."

After that, he had an affair with a woman who vaguely resembled me.

He gave me love and gave her physical intimacy, they think I won't find out.. That was until I presented him with the divorce papers.

I smiled and told him, "Actually, there's a great advantage to dating and marrying an older woman. That is, she can take risks and handle the consequences!"
