Phantom cure

Prologue

Prologue

May 29, 2025

In a tegnologie advance world 2090 a virus broke out seemingly out of nowhere back then thinking that they could rely on their technology was their down fall

The government couldn't keep a blind eye any further and was forced to look into this matter they couldn't leave this to the doctors

This didn't just effect the low class but also the man of power that rule this world in the shadows the investigation was left after no evidence was found all thoughts of it's origin was left unknown

The adults soon showed no signs off symptoms seeing this put them at eez thinking that this will also factor in the children but that couldn't be far from the truth

The world was unprepared for the storm that arrived without warning. At first, it was whispers in small towns—children falling ill with strange, inexplicable symptoms. Doctors dismissed it as a seasonal virus, another fleeting enemy in the endless battle against sickness. But then, the whispers grew louder, spreading like wildfire across borders, leaving grief in their wake.

They called it Juvenovirus—a pathogen so sinister it seemed designed to target the most vulnerable: the young. In weeks, playgrounds fell silent, classrooms emptied, and laughter became a distant memory. Scientists raced against time, desperate to uncover its origins and a cure, but the virus outpaced their efforts, evolving with every step.

In this dark new world, humanity found itself torn between despair and hope. Some searched for answers, while others searched for someone to blame. Yet amidst the chaos, a question loomed over them all: Was this an accident of nature—or something far more deliberate?

The world was crumbling under the weight of despair. Juvenovirus, the silent killer, had taken its grip on every corner of the globe. Scientists were baffled, governments overwhelmed, and hope a fleeting memory. Just when it seemed humanity would be plunged into darkness forever, he arrived.

No one knew his name. No one saw where he came from. A man shrouded in mystery appeared at the gates of a crumbling research lab in Geneva, carrying a single vial in his gloved hand. "This is the cure," he said, his voice calm and resolute. His face was hidden behind a mask, his movements deliberate, his presence almost otherworldly.

Skepticism gave way to astonishment as the formula worked flawlessly. Within days, the tide turned. Children on the brink of death began to recover, the virus retreating as quickly as it had spread. Nations hailed him as a savior, though none could say who he was or how he had achieved the impossible.

Then, as swiftly as he had appeared, he vanished. Security footage was erased, files on him corrupted, and the lab's records wiped clean. He left no name, no trace—just the cure and a haunting question: Who was he, and why did he help us?

Some called him an angel. Others whispered darker theories. All that remained was his legacy... and the unsettling realization that someone, somewhere, was watching.

In a world forever changed by the catastrophic "Metal Storm" six years ago, humanity stands divided between those who wield incredible powers gifted by a mysterious cure and those who don't. The cure, originally created to save children from a deadly virus, granted extraordinary abilities to survivors-powers that became the key to defending the planet from the relentless assault of colossal mechs.

Yuki, an orphan with no powers and no memories of the attack that claimed millions, struggles to find his place at the Academy-a fortress-like institution training the next generation of power-wielders, mech pilots, and engineers. Haunted by recurring dreams of a ruined city and a towering mech, Ren is driven to uncover the truth behind his past and why he alone remains unchanged.

As he navigates the harsh hierarchies of the Academy, clashes with powerful rivals, and bonds with unlikely allies, Ren begins to unravel secrets that could alter humanity's fate. What he discovers will force him to confront not only his own identity but the origins of the cure itself and the hidden truths of the Metal Storm.

A tale of courage, friendship, and mystery, Phantom Cure explores what it truly means to be human in a world on the brink of destruction.
