Me: No need for you to. You just found out about me in a nutshell. What's the point of all of it?

Lee: To let you know you have been seen long enough before you realized it.

Me: Lee, you are making a serious mistake?

Lee: By marrying into the royal family, or by marrying you specifically?

Me: Both. But go ahead, get burnt.

He escorted me out himself, clearly ignoring my words, and into the parking lot where a fancy sports car was parked. So red... so me. He opened the door for me, and I got in. He got to the driver seat, and I looked at the interior, clearly impressed.

Me: Interesting choice, Romano... nice to know you have taste.

Lee: (smirks) I will take that as a compliment, but thank you.

Me: You are welcome - why red, though?

Lee: (leans in) Curious to find out already?

Me: It's just a question.

Lee: You will find out soon...

I leaned in, waiting for him to complete his sentence.

Lee: When we are married.

Me: Already?

Lee: The quicker, the better.

Me: That makes sense.

Lee: We will meet tomorrow at my place-

Me: Not happening.

Lee: (sighs) Fine. At my office - Romano Corp?

Me: What time?

Lee: The earlier, the faster we can get this done. 9 am?

Me: Great to me.

Starting the engine, we drove off the parking lot and out of the venue, entering the night. The roads were slightly busy, with people driving into different roads and highways. The journey to my apartment was silent. I looked at Lee now and then, but he was focused on the road. His facial expression was more handsome up close. Would I have to tell him everything that I am thinking about him right now after we are married?

Lee: You are staring.

Me: No, I'm not! I was simply admiring the car.

Lee: By looking at my face? You are not a good liar, Liana.

Me: (blushing) So what? You looked too serious.

Lee: It's called car safety. Know it?

Me: (smirks) Want to bet?

Lee: I don't, unfortunately, but I am up for a challenge.

Me: I would love to, but maybe after the contract is over.

Lee: Looking forward.

I chuckled as I turned my gaze outside the window, looking at the passing buildings. One that caught my eye was the castle-like mansion in the mountains. It could also be seen from the highway, which I had never looked at before. I wondered if the Romanos were the owners of the mansion, but anything was possible. My marriage to Lee Romano will open me to many secrets of the well-known family of Cybric.

He parked outside my apartment, which was a townhouse. Luckily, he didn't have to get in - but the person he is, he decided to drop me exactly at the door.

Lee: 9 am tomorrow, don't be late.

Me: I won't. Bye.

I stepped out of the car and walked to the door. I turned around and gestured for Lee to go and that I would be fine, but he didn't take no for an answer. He signed in Cybric Sign Language, saying:

"I wouldn't want to leave my future wife without knowing she has arrived home safely."

I rolled my eyes and shook my head, unlocking the door and officially signing him to go. He chuckled and drove off. I watched his red sport car drive away, my mind replaying every event. I removed my shoes, and outfit and threw myself in bed. I was too exhausted to think - I had to meet Lee tomorrow for our wedding planning.

THE NEXT MORNING

*Knock knock*

I ignored it. I knew someone was at the door, but I figured it was unimportant. It was too early for Lee to come to my door.

*Knock knock*

Me: (sleepy) Go awayyy.

*Knock knock*

More knocking on the door, and I was forced to get out of bed. I, annoyed, went to the door, hoping it was anything apart from Lee Romano. I opened the door to find him exactly.

Lee Romano.

Lee: It takes you 5 minutes to answer the door?

Me: Good morning, Lee! How can I be of assistance SO EARLY IN THE MORNING?

Elena: Sorry to disturb you this morning, sis.

I didn't even realize that my sister, Elena, was with him, which was surprising.

Me: Let me guess. You decided to marry my twin sister?

Elena: Ew, no. I am here to help you get ready.

Me: (confused) Ready for what? Elena, Lee, I'm- you know what? Come inside.

I opened the door for them to enter. 

Me: What's the agenda for coming this early?

Lee: We need to talk.

Me: Take it away.

Lee: ...

Me: I'm waiting.

Elena: Fine. I am here to give him my blessing for your wedding, and I will take care of the apartment, okay?

Me: Wait, what? Why? (to Lee) I thought you said 9 am.

Lee: Sleep is not a luxury for the rich.

Me: And I, the poor one, have to suffer for you?

Lee: You will be my wife anyway, so you are pretty spot on. Get ready, we leave in 10.

Me: For what?

Lee: Your dress is ready, the venue is set up. All I need you to do is memorize the vows. They are short, so I don't think you will struggle.

Me: It's 7. In the morning. I just woke up!

Lee: 9 minutes left.

I dragged myself to the bathroom, took a quick shower, and put on my formal black dress. After freshening up, Elena quickly pulled me aside and gave me a pep talk.

Elena: Look. I have no idea what you put yourself into with Lee Romano, but I promise you won't let him get on your nerves. And I lied - I did not give him my blessing, but you are a grown woman, Liana.

Me: Wow. Comforting words indeed.

Elena: Save your sarcasm for after your wedding. Though we don't talk much, promise me to never change as a Rodriguez.

Me: (chuckle) I won't. I promise.

Elena: Good.

I went out to meet Lee and seemed satisfied with my dressing. He took me out, and I waved goodbye to my sister. He looked smart, and I kept silent most of the way.

Me: How did you know my wedding dress style? I am very picky about detail.

Lee: I am talented. I chose something that will exactly be your style.

Me: (smirks) Confident.

Just then, Lee received a call from his father. True, I never cared much about the Romanos, but I knew Lee's dad - he recently gave his company to Lee. No wonder he had to scramble to find a wife.

---ON A CALL---

Lee: Yes, Dad?

Lawrence: Where are you?

Lee: On my way to the wedding venue. Why?

Lawrence: With Liana?

Lee: Yes.

Lawrence: Come home. I need to see you both. Especially her.

Lee looked at me briefly before replying.

Lee: Yes, Dadd. Coming.

---END OF CALL---

Without warning, he made a U-turn, and we drove in the direction of the castle-like mansion. I looked at Lee briefly before looking at the sight that grew closer and closer. We entered the woods a little bit, but quickly arrived at the mansion within minutes. Lee parked the car, and we got off. I stared at the mansion in shock and awe. The mansion has the initials "RF" in many places outside the mansion.

Me: So this is your mansion...

Lee: Impressed?

Me: Not yet. Luxury doesn't impress me much.

Lee: Okay, then. Ready to face your first test?

Me: (smirks; looking at Lee) Please. I am Liana Rodriguez. I'm a tough cookie - besides, you knew what you entered into when you chose me, right?

With no words coming out of Lee's mouth, he simply chuckled and gestured for me to walk in first. I managed to capture his words in his low voice, which made me smirk.

Lee: (low voice) Of course I knew what I was getting myself into, Liana.
