Lynn came in a few minutes and as August saw him .... He sobbed.... He sat beside him and wrapped his hands around his shoulder

"It happened because of me i shouldn't have abandoned him... I didn't pick up his cellphone and he went through all this... If only I picked it up yesterday i would have reached in time and rescued him"

Lynn didn't want to say anything because a part of it was right... August should have attended his call .. no matter what the reason was

"It's not your fault.  ... You were angry with him so you did that.... You didn't know what he was going through... Don't blame yourself... Even Rhythm doesn't think of you as his culprit" Lynn assured him

"I ... I shouldn't have let him go in the first place .. he was begging Asking for forgiveness but I threw him out"

August hit the chair and Lynn stopped him

"Stop... You're hurting yourself ",

"And now he'll throw me out of his life... He'll loath me forever... He'll hate me... He'll hate me " August kept murmuring

"He'll not .... He'll forgive you.... He loves you... He can't be angry with you forever... He might not talk to you at first ... But try to win him and he'll give in " Lynn advised him

"Will he forgive me?... Do you think he'll forgive me ?" August asked

Lynn nodded

"Then I'll do everything for him... To earn his forgiveness... I'll take care of him ... Pamper him ... I'll make him forget all his painful memories... I'll take all his pain "

Lynn pat his hair and the doctor came out of the OTT, August and Lynn went to him

"Mr August... " The doctor coughed

"Please tell me what happened to him" August cried ..

"This ... This is a case of rape and sexual harrasment... We've to report this case" he said

August's face went blank....his legs gave up... But Lynn held him ... The doctor continued

"He is in a critical state ... We can't say anything now...to anyone except his family  "

"Doctor... We're his family ... I'm his brother! " Lynn exclaimed

The doctor nodes , "he has a small blood clot in his brain and we had to operate it ... His clavicle had major injuries and his right hand was fractured.... So it would be on plaster... As for his pelvis had a crack and we had to do a minor surgery... His legs were beaten multiple times and his left leg is fractured too ... "

The doctor continued ,"it looked like the man wanted to implement physical damage on his body "

August Trembled hearing those words

"We're sorry we don't know if he'll survive or not... We're trying our best"

August fainted hearing all this ....

A few moments later

August woke up and looked at his surroundings....he was on the hospital bed and Rose was waiting near him

"So you woke up ?" She asked with a pale expression

"Did I pass out " August asked Scared

Rose nodded... August quickly got down from the bed but Rose stopped him

"Where are you going?"

"To see Rhythm "

"He's in observation... We'll see him from outside, okay ?"

August nodded

"But you've to promise me that you'll keep calm...and try to grasp the situation"

"I'll buy let me go see him "

Rose help August and took him to the emergency room... He Peeped at Rhythm through the small window... Rhythm was sleeping on the bed with his eyes closed.... There were bandages all over his body and an IV was attached to his wrist... He was breathing with the help of a oxygen pipe.... He broke down seeing the condition of Rhythm...

He touched the glass pane and sobbed

"Please wake up baby... Please.... I'm dying to hear your voice my capybara"

Rose came with a plate of food and gave it to August

"Eat "

"I don't have the appetite to eat "

August replied looking at Rhythm

"Okay then we'll admit you here too with him and instead of Caring him you'll be more like a burden to him"

August looked at Rose

"Isn't what I said is right?... If you would be like this... Who will take care of him... And do you know how hurt he'll be if he comes to know you're acting like this "

"I.. I'll... "

"So better take care of yourself because if you keep on with this melodrama you can go home..".

"No... No... I'll eat and I'll take care of him "

August took the plate and started eating hurriedly.... Rose messaged Lynn

"He finally ate... Don't worry "

Next morning

August was waiting for Rhythm outside the observation room... And he saw Mike and Steve walking towards him... He stood up

"August... What happened tell me everything from first " Mike demanded

August explained everything to Mike and Mike felt his knees getting weaker.... Steve and August help him...

"Can... Can I see him ?" He asked

August nodded and took Mike to the observation room ... Mike and Steve saw Rhythm with all the bandages lying lifelessly on the hospital bed... Steve hugged Mike and cried

"Pa... What happened to my brother... Why is no

"Rhythm... " He cried

August helped him to regain his senses and made him sit on a bench... He gave Mike a piece of paper.... Steve was crying seeing Rhtyhm so Lynn took him outside

August gave a piece of paper to Mike... And sat beside him... Mike opened the letter and started reading it with teary eyes

Uncle, I'm leaving your house.... I'm sorry for all the trouble i put you in... I know I'm a very bad person i don't deserve to live with you and Steve .. But I.. I don't have anyone other than you both. ... You're my only family..... My mother died my pa abandoned me but you took and I disappointed you too .. I'm such a garbage... You're right an orphan like me would never understand love .... But I truly respect and love you... I've never faked my respect for you... You're my everything

But I could never stop myself from loving him... I understand it'll have a bad impact on Steve but I really love him... Please forgive him too .... It was all my fault

Since you've abandoned me i shouldn't live here anymore I don't want to cause any more nuisance to you , Steve or August .... I'm leaving for good ... I'm sorry for destroying everything... Please tell Steve than I love him .... And I've kept all my savings in the box... It'll help Steve for his higher studies in abroad.... I'm sorry I couldn't repay you i only brought misery to everyone...

Rhythm

Mike broke reading the notes.... He burst into tears... How sad and broken Rhythm must be that he decided to leave everything, his studies ,career, house , dreams everything because of him....

Mike and August sat on the bench without uttering a word ... Drowing in their own sea of remorse

A day has passed

Rhythm was passed into a common room... He was still unconscious... Doctor couldn't predict his condition and we're waiting for him to gain his consciousness... August was sitting beside Rhythm holding his hand...

"Wake up please don't be like this " he cried

Rhythm was still lying ... August kissed his hand...

"Are you that angry with mr that you won't talk to me now... I already said sorry to you... Now please don't punish me like this... Wake up ... And hug me... I'm dying to hear your sweet voice... I'm dying to talk to .. Please wake up"

Rhythm was still lying without any movement...

"Why are you punishing me like this .. i already apologized to you... Can't you forgive me this time?"

"Let's go ... He should take some rest..." Lynn said

"Can I stay with him for some more minutes?" August asked

"August... He needs some rest... It's already late " Lynn explained to him

"Can I sleep with him today? ... I'll sleep here on the couch " August said

August nodded and Lynn left him ... August talked with Rhythm till late ... But then he went to the couch and slept..

He was looking at Rhythm.... And soon fell asleep in a few minutes....

Late night

August heard some noise... He looked around and saw doctors and nurses rushing to his room.... He looked at Rhythm who was breathing abnormally.... He quickly got up and ran to him ...

"Doctor what happened to him... ?" He cried

"The patient's pulse is very weak and he's breathing heavily.... We can't say anything now " the doctor said

He pumped the chest of Rhythm and he was still breathing heavily... The nurses sticked various buttons on the body of Rhythm and August laid there like a lifeless dead body...

Lynn came in no time and he helped August

"Brother he... He's"..

"Nothing will happen to him... He'll survive .. he'll survive" Lynn ensures him

August looked at Rhythm and the machine.... His pulse grew faint...

"You can't leave me Rhythm... You can't leave me.... I'll follow you everywhere" he said to Rhythm... .

 I feel so bad for them now let's see if Rhythm survives
