Marcus's POV:
It's the next day, and bitch apologized, I guess, they made up. Lyle's happy, so that's all that matters.
Some dipshits think that he and I are dating, I don't know what the fuck I am and I don't think it matters. We are really good friends.
I've been made fun of my entire life, the dyed hair, the piercings, the height (I'm 5'4), my heritage, my accent. I'm Iraqi, lost the accent a while ago, and will knock someone out if they mention my hair or piercings. My hair colors are my mom's favorite colors, magenta, and black. The piercings are just because.
Lyle has been through it, too. I guess that's why we bonded.
Well, even if I don't like the blackmailer, Lyle's eating.
I walk over to Lyle and he starts talking about his family. They're coming over to visit soon.
He is super excited, and I'm happy for him, even if I can't see mine, I only care about my mom.
He grabs some lamb chicken kababs that I whipped up, he winces and that's when I see it.
"Lyle, what did you do?"
"Oh, I'm fine, it'll heal," he laughs sheepishly.
"You're fucking cutting yourself, that's not ok," I'm getting upset. Don't get me wrong, I'm upset for him.
"Please, it's not that bad, I'm ok," he's becoming withdrawn again.
"I'm going to let this go for now, because you just went through a rollercoaster of a day yesterday, but we will talk about this later," I take a deep breath and try to put this into a mental box and save it for another day.
The next day
I hear laughing in the living room at 7. In. The. Morning.
What monster is in my dorm?
"Yeah, yeah, oh remember the dinosaur incident, that was hilarious!" Lyle's voice laughs.
"We have very different accounts of the dinosaur incident brother..." a vague male voice chuckles.
"Just because you had to-oh, Marcus, you're awake!" Lyle notices that I'm up and beams.
"Dude it's Sunday, who hurt you to wake up this early?" I groan.
"Who?" the voice asks.
"Marcus, my roommate?" Lyle questions the dude.
"Ooooooohhhh, hey put him on!" he chirps back.
Lyle motions me over and scooched so there was room for me on the couch.
I sat down and saw who he was talking to....
He's ungodly hot... why is he ungodly hot?
"Hey, I'm Lyle's little brother, Tom," he grins looking me up and down.
He has Lyle's green eyes and shaggy light brown hair, but he also has dimples. God, he just sitts there beaming at nothing, I look like a trainwreck. His smile is sending a shiver up my spine, I feel my ears turn as pink as my hair.
"The doctor?" I ask shifting in my seat.
"Yup! He's coming over on Wednesday," Lyle says.
"Can't wait," he laughed.
God, I want to hear that again in different circumstances.
