Yoshida is at Walmart, cleaning the bathrooms and thinking about his future. 'High school is almost over for me. I should go to college. New York is a good city for learning,' he thought. 'Then, there's Houston. But I don't wanna leave May alone; it'll break her heart. Maybe I should tell her...'
May was at home alone, listening to music and reading Anne Frank and drinking a matcha slush she made with her mom's slush machine.

Yoshida texted, "I'm on break. How are you doing, hon?"
"Good," she texted back. "I'm gonna call you."
May dialed Yoshida's number; he picked up. "Hullo?"
"Hey, Yoshida. How's work?"
"Just on break right now. I'm at Starbucks, pumpkin bread and Americano in front of me. Anyways, I have something to tell you: What do you think about me going to college in the USA?"
May pulled off a spit take; her left eye twitched. "W-What?"
"Yeah. I wanna start my future in the US. I was thinking about going to Houston or New York City. Or New Orleans. Or Los Angeles." Yoshida ate some of his bread.
She put her phone down. "Yoshida, you know what happens when lovers go their seperate ways to college? They break up. I-I-I don't want that to happen," she cried.
"Neither do I. I wanna go to college and work on my handyman company. Now that I think about it, I wanna stay in Sapporo. There is a college here. Sorry I scared you like that." He was remorseful towards her.
"Oh, what a relief..." May sighed in relief. She sipped some more of her slush and wiped her eyes.
"Where are your parents?" Yoshida asked.
"They're having a lunch date." May turned the page of her book. "Whereas I'm just reading Anne Frank. My brother's supposed to come next weekend; he's moving back here to Sapporo. He's a mixed martial artist, an undefeated one at that."
"I wanna see him. I could learn something from him." Yoshida drank the last of his espresso. "Anyway, I gotta go; break's over. I'll see you at school tomorrow."
"Bye, baby," she replied, hanging up. She went back to her book.
