Years passed. Teddy doesn’t check the pet app anymore. He never re-downloaded it. But every now and then, when the rain hits his window just right…he remembers that night in the car. And he whispers, “Thank you, God. For letting me love her.” He still prays for Tina. Not for her to come back. But for her peace. Her joy. Her purpose. He hopes she’s still laughing. Still dancing in her room with worship music playing loud. Still talking to God like He’s sitting right beside her. Even if it rains Teddy always thinks of her and the memories they shared together. And maybe one day if God sees fit they’ll meet again. Not as broken kids. But as healed adults.
