Not done, Azalea spat at Delilah, “if you want an apology get it from Carlisle. If he wasn’t an attention seeker you wouldn't have ended up in the fish pond in the first place.”
All the people pleasers and followers that hung out with the Mercifuls were in a state of shock.
For Azalea to tell Delilah this while she lay soaked in the pool of water was also adding further insult to grievances.
Even worse, Delilah was an A-Class conduit; she should not have been so easily overpowered by a C-Class conduit.
The others thought it was shameful but no one dared to speak that thought out aloud as the gap between their skill levels was even several times wider than the fish pond.
Azalea was not someone obsessed with looks but seeing Delilah look like a drowned cat made her feel really good and she could hear little sprout giggling in the background.
It was a pity that when Delilah fell into the fish pond some of the water splashed onto Azalea’s gray suede boots.
There would be no time to change to another pair of shoes as their first class would start soon and the last thing she wanted was to be late and make a bad impression in front of another teacher.
“We need to go,” urged Lana.
Azalea nodded, she was ready to go when she noticed from the corner of her eye that Delilah was almost out of the pond when she tried to throw something aiming for Azalea’s head.
She had picked up a rock but when Delilah did that she disturbed a patch of lotus flowers.
Ticking off a large frog who darted upwards from beneath the frond and latched onto Delilah lips.
“Did you get that?” yelled one of the guys as they high-fived each other.
“This one is going live,” shouted the redhead who had been called dumb by Delilah so many times he lost count and absolutely hated her insults.
All over campus phones were going off as messages and videos circulated with titles like ‘I kissed a frog and I liked it’, ‘pampered princess finally met her match’ and ‘Delilah is willing to kiss a few frogs to get her prince.’
In just a matter of minutes she had become the campus laughing stock and Delilah wasn’t going to be amused.
Aside from Blaze, there was another person disappointed to see Azalea and her bestie leave.
Rhys didn’t quite understand why Blaze had an interest in Azalea, granted she was cute but they had been around more beautiful women.
For a second Rhy eyes gleamed with a reptilian look, he licked his lips, didn't they know that predators love bright and shiny things.
He couldn’t get it from the gray wolf but there will be plenty of opportunities to get his hand on that platinum chain and dog tag from a C-class conduit.
Rubbing his hands with anticipation the red headed male sentry was happy that Azalea had a bit of spunk because he loved a challenge.
Unaware that so many people had placed a target on her back, Azalea and Lana hurried to their next class trying to beat the next bell before it rang.
They were seated when Lana sent a message to Azalea’s phone and the beep echoed in the silent classroom; she had forgotten to put the cellphone on silent.
Luckily, the teacher had been called to the door by another teacher and was too deep in conversion to notice the sound.
There was a video of Carlisle trying to help Delilah out of the water and being dragged into the fish pond alongside Delilah that made Azalea burst out into laughter.
Luckily, there was no picture or video of Azalea managing to shove Delilah with such force to lose her balance just the after effects.
Poor Delilah looked ridiculous in the videos with the frog's lips on her own and spoiled brat nearly lost an eye.
When the frog who looked more frightened and displeased used her eyeball as launchpad to dart back into the waters and out of sight of the laughing Mercifuls and their followers.
So much laughter in the background it was like reality tv as the group lived up to their reputation of being merciless with their memes and jokes.
At first when other students first laid eyes on the post they had to do a double take to see that it was really Delilah that landed herself in pond scum.
Lana exclaimed, “your ex is really garbage! Why did that useless trash try to be heroic and drag Delilah out of the water if he couldn't swim? Luckily others were around to extend a helping hand to those two morons.”
Tears came to Azalea’s eyes as she wheezed with uncontrollable laughter so much that she couldn’t even focus on what the new Home and Family Life teacher was discussing.
Comments like Carlisle should know his place and he’s trying too hard to fit in with the Mercifuls was the sweet icing on the cake.
The next time they checked the forums and the popular blogs all the photos that involved Delilah and Carlisle had been removed from the sites.
Still, some had the foresight to take a few screenshots so Delilah and Carlisle weren’t going to live down today's drama anytime soon.
“Word on the street is that Carlisle spent a few Zero’s to have those videos and memes removed, what a sore loser.”
“He did what?” asked Azalea
Astonished that Carlisle who had always been so miserly in the latter part of their relationship was now spending dollars frivolously?
Azalea wondered briefly if she would meet someone willing to spend dollars lavishly on her someday.
Suddenly there was another knock on the door this time it was a triumphant Delilah with her homeroom teacher at the door.
Miss Roach said, “Class, please do the review exercise on page 5 while I step out for a minute. Azalea, please join us outside.”
Delilah had a gloating look on her face as her homeroom teacher addressed Azalea.
“I don’t know how things are done at your old school but here at Mercy Academy we have strict standards for our students not just in grades but also deportment. Do you have something to say about how you treated a fellow student out of jealousy?”
