Once everyone had settled in, Nia and Brand headed over to a separate spot to comb through the locations in order to find Alexander. In the meantime, Andre filled Cody, Dzzy, and Jaida in on what happened in their search. Dzzy angrily pouts upon hearing what happened to Nia, although it was certainly more cute than threatening. “That's an angry face?” a surprised Gabriel said, a bit at a loss. Cody doesn't really lose his cool at the news but smiles. “Well, it's pretty cool how reliable you are, don't you think?” he says, walking, nudging Andre on his arm. “Huh, what? That's what you got from this?” Andre says with raised eyebrows. Jaida gives a soft giggle at the amusing conversation.
“I'm sure that Gabriel threatened to break that deputy's leg.” Gabriel calmly rebutted to her statement, “It was his actual kneecaps that are completely different.” Andre thinks to himself that it's practically the same thing, actually. Amidst all the chatting, Andre briefly looked over to Nia and Brandi, who were looking through the map to pinpoint what exact church they needed to visit. As Nia and Brandi worked, Brandi looked over at Nia with a look of sadness; Nia noticed her staring and looked at her, a bit confused. “Is there something wrong?” Brandi quickly apologizes in response, not meaning to stare so hard. “I'm sorry about that, I was just thinking about what happened earlier,” she says with a melancholic tone. “I appreciate the concern, but I'm fine. Really, you don't have to feel sorry for me, you know?” Nia said with a soft smile. “Not to be so self-centered, but I'd say it's closer to guilt rather than empathy…which I apologize for,” Brandi says in response. Nia seemed a bit confused, wondering what Nia would have to feel guilty about. “What would you possibly have to feel guilty for?” The two had taken a moment to stop working to be fully engrossed in their talk. “When we left earlier today, we both went to face some rocky relationships, but I got to walk away making amends whilst you…Well,” Brandi doesn't finish her thought, not wanting to come off as insensitive. “....At first, I'd agree I might have even gotten jealous of you if I'm being 100% honest. Still, after how quickly Andre, Gabriel came to console me after things went south, so all in all, I walked alright cause I found a group of people that care, and that's all I need,” Nia says, holding her hand close to her heart. Brandi's eyes widen in surprise at Nia's heartfelt response as she thinks fondly of her teammates in Team Lion and Team Sloth. “Yeah, I feel the same,” she says softly with a wide smile. The office door of Felicia unlocks as she and Leon step out and greet the returning team members. A slightly tipsy Leon looks over at all the members.
“Oh, when did the rest of you get back?” Felicia smiles. “Good to see you guys back; sorry we didn't greet you. These walls are super-reinforced; the downside is that they are soundproof.” Leon looks over to Brandi and Nia with an inquisitive face. “I hope I don't mind me asking you, but did the revisit go well for you two?” Nia and Brandi look at each other before looking back at the rest of the team nearby. They both smile brightly. Brandi answers first, “Yeah, I'd say so.” Nia nods along, agreeing. “Weirdly enough, I walked away feeling great.” Leon and Felicia smile, happy for the two girls. After finally narrowing down the possible options, Nia and Brandi let the rest of the group know that they would be heading out any second now.
Andre gets himself ready, slinging his bag with his baseball bat over his shoulders. “Where is it exactly?” Brandi answers, “It's actually a smaller church near the forested area. Some reports claim weird incidents of people randomly appearing have been happening, so it's more than likely someone passing in and out of the Spirit Side.” “Sounds good enough for me,” Gabriel says, all fired up and ready to roll out. Everyone heads out to the van and hops in. This time, Andre takes the driver's seat as they head to the church to meet the cause for their last couple of missions.
The ride is pretty rowdy, given Cody ,Dzz,y and Jaida teasing Gabriel cause he was the last to get in. The team parked the van nearby on the outskirts of thesurroundingg forest and walked the rest of the way until they were in front of St.Lissa's churc,h a decrepit building nearly fully taken over by a mass of vines covering half the right side of the building. Upon entering the almost everyone was shocked to see up to 10 bodies all laid out with knives ofvaryinggamountst stuck intotheirr backs before Dzzy quivers a bit before she states, “These bodies, most of them either came willingly or were put to sleep before being stabbed. Jaida nods in respons,e unshaken by the corpses. “Yeah, no sign of struggle,” she says coldly. “So we have doctors in the house. Tis a pleasuretoo meet yo,?” a voice says as a man in red and black pastor robe appears from the darkness of the altar upfront. Everyone readies themselves for combat; however, the robed man laughs and wags his finger. “Tsk Tsk wouldn't want anything to happen to an innocent man, would you?” as he held out a red remote with a button. “There's a man by the name of Nico strapped to the mechanism that will shoot a multitude of knives directly into his back…so I suggest we all calm down. After all theyt want to talk,” he says with an evil smirk on his face. A worried Brandi is the first to lower her guar,d and so follows everyone else. Andre and the others could only think to themselves, what they could possibly do to get themselves and Nico out of this one. “Now, my name is Alexander Alwitz, and I'll be your pastor for today's service brought to you by the Goddess of the Grove’ he says with a smile, thinking about what he has in store for everyone here.
