The tea was a deep red and had a rich flowery taste. Lucian felt immediately better after downing the whole glass. He had hardly ever had tea, since it was expensive and hard to find in the outer city, especially in his home segment. What's in this Cupid questioned. It's tea leaves soaked in water Vermillion told flatly. I meant what kind obviously Cupid scowled. Hibiscus Vermillion replied. After they finished, Yew showed them a hidden staircase that went up to the attic. Vermillion then led the way. At the top was a large room with a single circular window looking out over the street below. There was a small bed with old green sheets, an antique dresser that wasn't in great condition, and a large round rug covering most of the floor. Hanging from the ceiling though were a ton of suncatchers and dried flowers. Lucian marveled at the fractured light that reflected off the walls. You get the floor Vermillion stated at last, I will get you some blankets. Fine by me Lucian sighed. Do you have a bathroom Cupid asked. Yes, its- Vermillion started to say. VERMILLION GET DOWN HERE Yew yelled. Vermillion flinched. Excuse me a moment he said and turned back down the stairs. Cupid and Lucian looked at each other nervously. So Cupid hesitated as he sat down on the rug, why do you want to stay. Well for one Lucian smiled joining him on the rug, I want to recruit that Vermillion guy and two want make sure the girl is okay. I understand wanting to stay for the girl, but why him Cupid asked. Because I have a feeling he'll be able to help us Lucian said the whispered, there's something powerful about him. Cupid tilted his head but then shrugged. If you say so he sighed.
Vermillion eventually came back with a couple blankets and a stack of spare clothes. He also told them that there was a bathhouse with a well and fire pit in the backyard.
