I can teleport.
"Holy shit," I said, realizing that I actually teleported to Austin's room. But the shock dissipated when my eyes fell on a teary-eyed Austin, eyes red and nose runny with his mouth slightly open. "Come here."
I pulled him close and he fell on my chest without resistance. I hugged him so tight as I whispered "I'm sorry" over and over because I really felt sorry for not doing anything.
"Asshole. You fucking showoff!" he said between hiccups. "Just because you're a vampire."
That made me smile a little but I didn't let go of him.
"I'm sorry."
"Shut up, Magno."
"Genesis. Nobody calls me that except my roommate."
He's shivering so I let go of him.
"I appreciate the hug but I can't handle the cold."
I smiled sheepishly.
"Can't count on me for hugs, huh."
"Nope. No hugs," he said while wiping his face with a handkerchief. His eyes were swollen and his cheeks look puffy.
It made me want to reach out and touch his lips but I pretended to look around his spacious room. I expected it to be just like him, girly and extravagant, but his room didn't look like how I thought Austin's room would look. He has a purple bed but it wasn't frilly but fluffy and soft.
"Damn, I don't know if I can teleport back to my room."
He looked at me so I checked myself out and realized that I'm only wearing my Giyu Tomioka boxers and a white sando. Austin's in his matching midnight blue pajamas, a normal set with normal star and moon prints.
"Cute outfit," he said, this time just to be nice.
"This is my dorm uniform. If I knew I could teleport I would've rented a suit," I joked. By dorm uniform I meant the only things I wear in my room to avoid excessive laundry.
"You mean to say, it was your first?"
"Yup."
"You must really want to see me so bad."
"Nope. I just thought I wanted to give you a hug."
"Aww, Magno. You look so scary but you're such a clingy fluff."
"You're being honest with me so I'm being honest with you. Giving and taking is good for friendships, they say."
"Thank you, by the way."
"For what, exactly?"
"I saw the video. You didn't tell them anything and now they're targeting you too, but you're still here. So thank you."
"Getting beat up by that asshole didn't hurt at all. I just let him do what he wanted so he wouldn't feel so bad about having a microphallus."
We both laughed. I honestly don't know about that guy's dick but maybe he really does have a small one because he's being too sensitive about it.
"And thank you for finding me," Austin said while hugging his lavender pillow. "Maybe you're right, that I actually fear dying even if I believe that I don't."
Maybe he also wished so hard for someone to find him.
"I'm also glad I found you," I smiled and offered him a hand. He shook it and I believed we just made a pact.
We talked about a lot of random things after that until Austin crawled on my lap and settled there like a kitten.
"You're like, not human right? So I guess it's okay for me to treat you like a piece of trash."
That escalated quickly.
"Whatever you say," I answered.
It was like a dream. Me, teleporting to Austin like a real vampire, and Austin getting comfortable in my presence, ignoring the fact that I'm a dangerous predator.
*
As I've mentioned earlier, Austin is a ticking time bomb. He's such a complicated person to deal with that I get my hands full just trying to understand the meaning of his sudden silences. He'll be joking about random stuff and then gets too quiet the next moment as if fun loses its taste after it melts on his tongue.
Now he's back, looking at herself in the mirror to prepare for the following class. His bag sits on my lap and he sternly warned me to never put my weight on it so it wouldn't get deformed.
As expected, we received a lot of meaningful stares and snarky remarks but Austin seemed unaffected by the buzz. It's amazing how quickly he recovered and returned to his usual Queen self.
But we were obviously isolated.
Only the dean knew about his suicide attempt. Austin had a private talk with her and he honestly admitted his condition, backed by his psychiatrist's prescriptions. But it was obvious that there's nothing they can do about the students.
"I just had to suck it up," Austin said while he's eating his lunch in the cafeteria. "I don't wanna transfer though. I can't take you with me."
I let out a soft laugh and noticed his eyes widen.
"OMG, you laughed!" he said while pushing his face towards mine on the table. "That's weird."
"I'm a person after all," I muttered. "What's weird is how I'm following you around like a bodyguard."
"Pfft. You flatter yourself too much," he rolled his eyes while talking in his cute, girly voice. "You're my support animal."
Yeah. He only sees me as a dog.
"Hmm, wanna hang out in our dorm room later?"
"And why would I go with you in your room?"
"Because this support animal needs his own support animal," I answered him. I've promised Champion that I'll introduce Austin to him.
Champion might help him better than I can, because that guy's a walking sunshine.

"Not bad," Austin said. "I expected something like an evil vampire lair."
"Stop saying that. My roommate doesn't know," I told him as I toss my bag to my bed.
"You look like chaos but your room's freakin' tidy. What is this development?!" he said and bounced on my bed. He immediately buried his face on my pillow. "Smells like you. I'm disappointed. So you didn't prepare for my arrival? You are such a dumbass."
By now, I've already gotten used to his way of showing his pleasant side and it is to bombard me with verbal abuse.
Maybe I'm a masochist but having him insult me is better than not having him around me at all.
He stood up and started snooping around on Champion's side of the room.
"This. . ." he said while holding one of Champion's swimming trunk. "You're roommates with Champ Coletta?!"
His eyes were wide beneath those false eyelashes. Austin was the type of "girl" who looked like every day is a cosplay convention day.
I gave him a smug grin.
"Now you realize I'm such a high-spec guy."
"No, no. I feel sorry for Champion, having to room with a simpleton like you," he said as he flipped Champion's portfolio. "He's like, on his fifth year right? Why's he with you? How'd you end up in the senior's building?"
"Hmm, I have no idea."
Austin raised an eyebrow before crossing the room to sit on the chair of my study table. I remained standing, suddenly feeling like I was the one intruding.
"Well, this is awkward," he said.
"You said it," I agreed. Unable to think of anything to add, I sat on my bed feeling like an idiot.
I was beginning to get nervous so I offered him a lopsided smile that may have looked like I was showing him my fang. He reciprocated it by staring at me like I was some kind of bug, and the next thing I knew he was sitting by my side. Then he started sniffing my shirt, up to my neck where I felt the tip of his nose brush my skin. It took everything for me to stay still despite being so self-conscious. What if he smells something bad? I'm dead, so I might have some dead person odor that I'm not aware of.
Discontented, he lifted my arm to smell my armpit. I almost swatted his face but I just groaned.
"What the hell is this shit?"
"You look like you're not a fan of daily baths so I thought you'd smell bad," he explained as he stared at me with a puzzled frown. As if his religion was proven false. "But you don't smell bad at all."
"I take two showers a day," I admitted with a pout to emphasize my disappointment. "It's not my fault I look like a hobo. I was Most Neat and Clean in grade school, just so you know."
"So you're telling me, this look comes with being a vampire?"
"I guess so. I mean, who cares about that anymore? We're in college."
"Nah, dude, that's where you're wrong," he fluttered his thin fingers in disgust. "We have full control of how we look, Magno. I look like a girl because I put in so much effort to look prettier than your average girl. You know what I mean?"
"Yeah. But I can't see myself in the mirror, Ramirez."
"Oh," he said, realizing that it made sense. "Some guys just don't look their best with some clothes on."
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked but he just fell on my bed with his arms outstretched. I had to wait for several moments for him to answer.
"I'm sayin', that maybe you're the type who looks better naked."
His way of speaking when he's with me sounded so masculine it felt like I've been mind-fucked. He's not bothering with his man-voice either.
Without so much as a warning, he's straddling me who's too caught off-guard to react. My back sunk on my pillows as he kissed me in a way that makes more sense when you use the word, taste. He would get a taste like it's perfectly normal and then licks his lips in with a perplexed look on his face. The skin of his bare legs touched the exposed part of my stomach and it was so hard to not die of anticipation.
"You're dead-cold but you taste alive."
Before I could answer, he lowered his face again and pressed his lips on mine, this time he didn't pull back. I smiled, pressing my palm on his nape while we tasted each other's tongue at our leisure. He's the vocal kind, I noticed. His sexy whimpers turned me on so much that I wanted to just get on with it and finish him.
Vampires get turned on too. Maybe we don't reproduce due to guys ending up with guys due to the majority of vampires being males. I'm just speculating though. But I don't have any female vampire acquaintances while Nurgis and I are both males, come to think of it.
Austin fought mine for dominance and when he broke into my mouth, tongue curiously inspecting my growing fangs, my mind wanted nothing more than to draw some blood out of him. So when he punctured his tongue on my fang, on purpose, I sighed in obvious delight. He picked up on it and I expected him to withdraw but he urged me to suck his tongue harder as his blood dribbled on my mouth, mixing with our sticky saliva. It's violently nudging both my thirst for blood and thirst for some other things. Like sex.
He's already panting, rubbing himself on my stomach as whiny moans escape him while I suck on his bloody tongue. I didn't notice my hand probing the inside of his blouse and automatically searched for his boobs, which I forgot he didn't have because he's a fucking guy.
Austin pulled back, hands pressed on my chests to push me down my bed as he chased his breath, face flushed and obviously annoyed.
"Don't you ever do that again!" he shouted while standing up. He ran towards Champion's bed to sulk, in a Disney Princess style.
I grinned, lying flat on my bed. So there's going to be a next time.
