To be honest, the tasks they’ve outlined aren’t as daunting as they portray. The Luna’s responsibilities seem minimal compared to the weight they place on them, making it feel as if my entire future hinges on this training. Drew often finds humor in my situation, teasing me about the weight I’ve lost in just four days under the guidance of his mother and my instructor.

Right now, I’m in class, and guess who’s sitting in the corner? Gideon. It’s amusing that he, a man with his own family, has been assigned to me. As class concluded, I gathered my belongings and slung my bag over my shoulder just as Gideon approached. “I suppose that’s it for today,” he said with a faint smile, which made me giggle. He seems a bit out of touch with the situation, but who can blame him? “Thank you, Gideon. I know it must be tedious waiting for me to finish my classes,” I teased, prompting a laugh from him. As we walked to the car, I overheard some whispers from fellow students; my keen hearing picked up their comments quite clearly.

A boy with red hair expresses his disbelief, saying, "I can't believe Felicity is going to be our future Luna; I never saw that coming." He speaks to a girl who appears to be his mate, clinging to him. Although I don't know him well, I've encountered him a few times. The girl responds, "I was shocked too when I heard the news. She's always been so gloomy and acts like we don't exist. I wonder how she will manage to rule alongside the young alpha, Drew."

It seems I've already developed a negative reputation even before officially becoming the new Luna, but I can't blame them. It's probably best to act as if I haven't heard anything. Suddenly, Gideon turns to face them, giving them a fierce look. I can sense their fear and hear the sound of people running away; it appears he has overheard them as well. "Are you okay?" he asks, and I respond with a smile, "Yes, I just want to head to the pack house and rest. Oh, I forgot—I’ll have to endure another lecture once I get there."

He opens the car door, and I slide into the passenger seat. I wish the mating ceremony would happen soon; I’m already feeling so drained.

I can't shake off the thoughts about what that guy mentioned. What really happened twelve years ago? My curiosity is piqued. I took a small amount of the drug I had purchased and inhaled it. Ah, I feel so invigorated.

Since I started using this, I've been feeling fantastic. It's quite a coincidence that I stumbled upon it.

A raid occurred while the substance was being sold. My father discovered the situation, and we set out to track down the sellers. He brought Drew along due to his strength and keen instincts.

Unbeknownst to us, the suppliers became aware of our pursuit, and we were only able to apprehend a few. However, they began foaming at the mouth after ingesting poison.

We managed to seize some of the substance, and driven by curiosity about its appeal, I discreetly took one for myself, hiding it in my jacket without anyone noticing.

Once home, I opened it and sampled a small amount. The taste was pleasant, but it lacked the desired effect. I then sniffed it, and that was when I experienced ecstasy for the first time; it made me feel euphoric and invincible. I continued to sniff more until I completely lost control.

When I finally ran out, I craved it desperately, even returning to the location where we had captured the sellers in hopes of purchasing more. My luck changed when I encountered one of our warriors in possession of it.
