Nothing makes me feel happy than seeing Aria cry. So she can even cry? Then why is she always behaving as if she's tough?
One funny thing about me is, no one hurts me and go back free, I do make sure I suffer whoever that tries to hurt me.
Though Mr. Jacob, the lecturer, was polite, what really angered me was being forced to applaud her. Not only was she stubborn, but she was also undeniably brilliant. I'm supposed to praise her for that but she being brilliant made me angry.
She should consider herself lucky that the questions weren't related to my field of study. These business questions are way out of my league – I'm a medicine and surgery student, not a business expert. I guess that was the reason why she prove to be better and this is also the reason why I'm increasing her punishment.
"Alright Aria, I'm still waiting.." I told her.
"There's still many ways for us to settle," she told me. Who's talking about reconciliation? The last thing I'm ever going to do is talk with her. Even if I'm been told that talking with her is what would save my life then I'll rather die than do it.
"What make you feel that I want any settlement?" I asked her.
Then I bend down and whispered to her. "If you want peace, then just leave the house with your mother. I want you guys out of my face."
"I believe if you tell my mom yourself, she'll accept to leave.." she told me.
"Then you're not serious, lick my shoe.." I ordered her.
She's quiet.
" I'm waiting," I reminded her.
"No problem, I'll do it, as long as it won't cost me my life," she said.
I thought she wouldn't obey my order but she did. She lick my shoe and I'm happy. Finally, I've succeeded to pay her back for what she did to me. For slapping me.
"Can I leave now?" she asked. I nodded in approval, and she quickly exited the room. It was clear she felt embarrassed. With lunch hour approaching, I headed to the canteen to grab a bite.
Upon arriving at the canteen, I ordered fried chicken and rice, paid, and then headed to a table to enjoy my meal. Just as I was about to sit down, Dominic walked in, his lunch neatly packed in a container, held casually in one hand. Our eyes met, and he flashed a brief smile before making his way over to me.
"Hey bro, do you know that girl?" Dominic asked me. Dominic is my friend and we're studying the same course.
I know all by friends would want to ask this question.
"How am I supposed to know her?" I asked back taking a slice of chicken into my mouth.
Nobody needs to know about that. That ugly thing is staying with me? And knowing she's my half-sister? No way. Even if you held a gun to my head, I'd never accept it.
"So you were just punishing her for nothing, right?" He asked me.
I rather say yes to this. If I should tell him that Aria slapped me yesterday, the next question he would ask would be, how it happened. It's best I put that outside. Or I'll just tell him that I'm mad at her for answering all the lecturer's questions. Afterall, that's the second reason why I'm angry.
"I wasn't punishing her for nothing." I replied casually.
"Then why were you punishing her?" He asked me.
"Does that looks like punishment for you?" I asked him.
"Kinda," he shrugged his shoulders.
"Point of correction, I was only teaching her a lesson not punishing her.." I told him.
"You were teaching her a lesson?" He asked me.
"Yes I was," I replied.
He drop the fork he's holding then he said. "I see you've suddenly become a lecturer__" he joked.
"Maybe a professor," I told him smirking big time.
Frankly speaking, ever since that happened, I feel really happy and I don't know why. Should I say it's because I've taken my revenge or because I just feel like being happy..
Well, that girl is nothing but a pain in my ass, I wish my dad would just send she and her silly mother out of the house.
"So can we go for swimming?" He asked me.
What!
Did he just asked me this question? I should go swimming?
Has he forgotten that I'm aquaphobic? I'd never tried swimming again after my last experience years ago, which led to my aquaphobia. I'd almost lost my life if not for a miracle that happened.
The last thing I'd ever do is swimming. When I found out my dad had installed a pool at home, I was furious – it felt like a betrayal. But one thing's for sure: I'll never set foot near that pool. Never!
"C'mon dude I asked you a question __" he reminded me smiling. It's obvious, he knows why he's laughing. He's just trying to get on my nerves, nothing more.
"Are you okay?" I asked him frowning then he burst into laughter.
"You know what, I still can't believe that an handsome guy like you is scared of swimming.." he said. Is he trying to mock me.
"Are you trying to insult me?" I asked him slightly provoke even though I know he's only joking.
"I'm not insulting you, I only want you to try to keep your past behind.." he told me standing up from the chair.
"Goodness, should I call you Dominic the inspiration speaker?" I asked him. "I can see you've suddenly become one.."
"C'mon dude, you should try to learn how to swim. Yeah, yeah, I know what happened but at least..."
"Do you want to go swimming?" I asked him.
"Yes I do," he shrugged.
"Alright then, use the door!" I ordered him.
He stared at me in amazement. I took another slice of chicken when he asked.
"Can I ask you a question?" He demanded.
"If it's a reasonable one, you can ask.." I told him.
"Let's take for instance, your girlfriend Helena is drowning, and you're the only one there. What would you do? Will you let her die?" He asked me.
" She doesn't know how to swim..."
" Answer me," he cut in. Just then I heard a familiar voice asked.
"Will you let me drown?" Helena asked, her voice laced with desperation.
