Phew, the first day of work after struggling so hard to achieve a dream. Bam!
"Kihyeon, wake up! You'll be late if you don't get out of bed right now!" shouted Ha-joon as he burst into Kihyeon's room.
"Ugh, what time is it?" Kihyeon tried to look at the clock on the wall, but his eyes still refused to fully open.
"It's already six in the morning, you know!" replied Ha-joon, lying just to get Kihyeon to open his eyes. Startled, Kihyeon jumped out of bed in a hurry. He ran toward the bathroom and accidentally crashed into Ha-joon.

Shaa. The sound of running water could be clearly heard from outside; Kihyeon was in a rush. Ha-joon? He chuckled mischievously outside the bathroom. Kihyeon’s red face was hilarious, he thought.

He was staying over at Kihyeon's apartment today. It was Kihyeon who had asked Ha-joon to wake him up earlier, since today was his first day at work. Ha-joon walked up to the bathroom door and knocked loudly—so loud it could be heard even over the sound of the water.
“Hurry up, Hyun-A.”
“Shut up, Hyung!”

Silence filled the air during the ride as Ha-joon drove Kihyeon to the hospital.
Kihyeon was sulking because Ha-joon had lied to him earlier that morning, causing him to rush. As a result, Kihyeon’s appearance was far from tidy.

“Alright, I admit I was wrong. I’m sorry, okay, Aein?”
Kihyeon didn’t respond, his gaze fixed firmly on the scenery outside the car window.
“You still look good, though.” Suddenly, Ha-joon reached over and gently ran his hand through Kihyeon’s messy hair, trying to fix it.
“Ugh! What are you doing?”
Ha-joon simply grinned playfully at him.
“We’re almost there. Don’t stay mad, okay?”
Kihyeon ignored him. Again.

"Thanks for the ride."
Ha-joon was about to reply, but Kihyeon cut him off by shutting the car door.
Instead of getting upset, Ha-joon burst into laughter.
“Ah, so cute,” he muttered.

Kihyeon walked into the hospital grounds, wearing a forced smile.
Countless nurses and doctors greeted him along the way—even that one doctor he found incredibly annoying said hello.
