Chapter 16

Ethan POV 

After returning from school, I decided to take a shower to unwind. I walked into the bathroom with my phone in hand, replied to some chats, and then placed it in a corner before stepping into the bathtub. As I sat down, I couldn't help but think about the question Dominic had asked me and how I felt pressured to respond, especially since I didn't want to hurt Helena.

Dammit, why did that asshole even asked me such question? I know quite well that he knows what my answer was supposed to be and yet, he insisted I give him a reply.

That doesn't look funny at all, I'll give him a call right now and warn him never to repeat such again.

I came out of the bathtub and collected my phone and immediately dialed his number.

"Hello dude," 

"I was expecting your call since but you didn't.." I told him.

"You were expecting my call, for what?" He asked me. Oh, so he wouldn't have called. He should thank his stars that he is my friend, else I would have teach him a lesson he wouldn't have to forget.

"So you never have plans to call to apologize for what you did?" I asked him slightly annoyed.

"Apologize for what, man?" He asked me.

"For insulting me.." I told him.

"Did I insulted you?" He asked me.

"Of course yes. You know I hate swimming and you chose to ask me if I would jump into the river to save my girlfriend, knowing she was standing right bedside me__" I complained.

" C'mon dude, I didn't know she was there," he defended himself.

His lying. How sure am I that Helena wasn't the one who persuaded him to asked me that question?

"That's a lie.." I told him.

"Will I be lying to you? You know I fucking can't lie to you.. " He said to me.

"I don't trust you because you weren't even supposed to ask me that question." I told him flatly.

"But I just wanted to hear what you've got to say." He told me.

"But we've talked about that shit many times." I told him.

"Alright I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ask you that question, I was just kidding.." he said his voice calm.

"It better don't happen again!" I told him sternly and ended the call.

I quickly took a bath, and after I was done, I dried my body with a towel and dropped it right inside the bathroom.

As I stepped out of the bathroom, I walked over to the table to grab my earbuds. I put them on and started playing a song from my phone. Just as I was about to switch to another track, I looked up and was surprised to see that my door was open, with Aria standing there, gazing at me. I looked down and fuck, I'm naked..

"Fuck!" I cussed.

Immediately our eyes meet I roared.

"What the fuck are you doing here?!

Goddamnit!

Can't I have a little privacy anymore in my room.

Now that I'm happy that I've succeeded in my plan to revenge against Aria for slapping me, she's added more to it. I didn't gave her permission to enter my room but she did it on her own. This girl is challenging me. Secondly, she didn't even knocked.

Of course I wasn't expecting her to enter my room because no one dares come inside my room without my permission. Even the maids do knocked and comes inside only when I order them to.

There's this question that lies right inside my mind now, for how long has she been staring at me? I'll fucking go meet her now.

I seethed with rage as I opened my wardrobe, snatching out a pair of blue jean shorts and a white polo shirt. I yanked them on, my anger simmering just below the surface. The thought of Aria's stupidity made me want to punch her right in the face.

I opened her door without knocking since she'd done the same some minutes ago and she's standing right in front of me.

"Aria what was the meaning of that?!" I screamed at her.

She stared at me in fear, but I wasn't convinced. I strongly suspected she was only pretending, and given her talent for deception, it didn't surprise me.

"So you have the nerve to come into my room?!" I asked fuming.

"It was a mistake __" she said trembling. 

What the fuck...

It was a mistake? Does that look like a mistake?

Was 'angry' the word? Angry is an understatement for what I'm feeling now. I'm mad! I feel like giving her a punch in the face for her stupidity.

"I really didn't knew you were naked.." she said hesitantly.

Why didn't she bother to knock? If she has no other intention for doing this, she would have knocked and waited for my permission.

"And you were looking at my..." I trailed off, unsure how to finish the sentence.

She's not even my girlfriend and yet she saw my dick! 

Fuck!

"Ethan I'm sorry, if I'd known that you were naked I wouldn't have come in." She said.

"And you couldn't even knock?" I said very much provoked.

 "I knocked, but you didn't give me a reply," she said.

"She's even lying," I thought.

 "There was an earbuds in your ears," she added. It suddenly dawned on me that my earphones were indeed still in my ears. But that wasn't an excuse.

Then I walked closer to her. "Even if, you shouldn't have opened the door since I didn't gave you the permission to do so." I told her.

"I didn't said I'm right, I was wrong anyway I should've waited for your permission but I never knew you were..."

"Oh, shut the fuck up!" I cut her off. Did she really want to repeat that? This girl had guts – I had to give her that.

"I'm sorry, I was only coming to apologize," she said. She was coming to apologize? For what?

"Read my lips, I'll make you pay for this.." I told her sternly. "And as for what I did to you in school today, it would be less compare to what I'll do to you tomorrow.." 

"Ethan please," she tried pleading with me but I dashed out of the room.
