The mastermind

"7 pm tonight? why would I ever promise something like that?" Charis scrolls through her messages, messages from last night she doesn't remember at all. "Come to think of it. . . this doesn't sound like me at all. . ." as Charis continues to inspect her contacts, in the corner of her eye, she notices the A4 printout of 'the incident' lying in the corner of the room. Charis pieces the situation together, she was set up by none other than Hana, "I bet she didn't even miss her flight; she had this whole thing planned out".

Unfortunately for Charis, a promise is a promise, and now she is on her way to dinner with a coworker she barely knows.

Meanwhile, Pole is taking this more seriously than he should.

"Okay daisy, tell me do I look over dressed?" Pole inquires

Daisy a golden furred puppy, jumps around at his feet barking "Woof woof (aye fam you are overdressed for sure, who the shawty you meeting anyways?)"

"If only dogs could speak" pole turns to fix his polo shirt, before grabbing his keys.

"woof woof (mandem you can't leave like that, take me with you i'll complete the look fr)"

"Daisy, I need you to behave, I'll only be gone for a while, your nice neighbour, will come check on you in 30 minutes okay, you have to behave, okay?"

"woof woof (nahhh you can't leave me with that lady, she smells like lavenders, its gonna clash with my image on the streets if it rubs off on me too, don't leave me gang. . .)".

As Pole exits his house, he firmly locks the door behind him. "Daisy always has so much energy, I hope she doesn't bother the nice lady too much" He thinks to himself making his way to the restaurant 20 minutes early, "well I guess I over did it with the punctuality, I'll just wait inside". For some, however, punctuality is not so easily achieved.

Poles phone rings, "I'm almost at the diner, I think I took the wrong turn, I'm near some Chinese martial arts place" Charis speaks through the phone. 

"I think I know, the place you're talking about, wait for me there I'll come get you". Pole quickly rushes out of the diner. Making his way to Charis, he passes his reflection in the windows nearby, and quickly fixes his hair and pats down his shirt "why did I do that, it's not like it's a date" he mutters to himself.

Charis spots him in the distance and waves him over, "Hey, sorry I hope I didn't keep you all waiting" Charis says nervously, "Don't worry, I was the only one waiting" Pole replies trying to be reassuring, "Wait! seriously? now I feel even worse for making you wait, I'll make it up to you, dinner is on me" Charis flashes a smile.

"That's okay, let's just go, I- uh- like your jacket by the way" Pole quickly looks away "I'll lead the way, I guess".

"Thank you" Charis says aloud, 'what was that?' she thinks to herself.

The pair make their way to the diner.

Meanwhile. . .

Daisy has been plotting, a great escape plan only one shot to make it to Pole in time.

"Here's the plan fam, when that lavender lady pulls up, she is going to try and greet me at the door, so all i gotta do is, jump at the same time she kneels down to pet me" Daisy thinks to herself. 

"It's all easier said than done" she paces the room patiently waiting to hear the jingle of keys to the door of the apartment, "Thats it, shes here, okay daisy only one shot, you've got to make thsi work"

"Daisy, my sweet I'm here" Lavender Lady, swings open the door, "Come give mami a kiss" she kneels down on one knee, with her arms open, smiling joyfully.

"Woof Woof (Don't give me that look lavender, it'll only make what i have to do more painful for you" Daisy leaps towards the lavender lady, "Woof (I'm sorry)" She mutters as she knocks over the lavender lady, and as lavender lay flat on the floor, Daisy makes a break for it.

"woof woof (I can't smell his scent anymore, stupid cologne, I should have gotten a better whiff of it before he left, But I do have a good guess on where he could be)" Daisy bolts down the streets.

"woof (he must be at the place with big screens)" Daisy makes her way and rushes into the movie theatre. 

"Hey where did this dog come from" bystander #1

"I'm allergic to fur" bystander #3, "It's okay babe, I'll protect you" bystander #3.5

 "it's so loud" bystander #2

 "Hey! don't scare it, I can handle it" A man in a strange outfit approaches daisy, and gentle scoops her up carrying her outside, before placing her on the ground again, "hey little cutie, I can see you have a collar, is it okay if I check for a name and address" the man gently pets daisy's fur, "Daisy? that's a beautiful name, and your address is right nearby, let's take you home"

"woof wo- (you don't understand, i'm on a mission I'm looking for- )" across the street daisy notices Pole "WOOF WOOF (THERE! I SEE HIM)" Daisy rushes off across the street.

"Hey, wait, daisy that's dangerous" The man reaches out his hand in vain, and chases after the puppy.

"By the way I wanted to ask- " Charis interrupted by a big yellow puppy jumping straight into Poles face knocking him over on the floor.

"WOah- uh i mean woah, daisy where did you come from" Pole says between each aggressive lick from Daisy.

"You know this pup?" asks the man, "she just ran into the theatre I was trying to take her home before she bolted along the street" 

"I'm sorry, I don't know what's gotten into her today, normally she- actually, she is always like this" Pole chuckles as he shakes the man's hand, "Thanks, what's your name by the way"

"My name is- " the man's phone rings, "Sorry, I've got to go, may we meet again" The rushes of across the street back into the theatre.

"Woof woof woof woof woof (Pole why did leave me!)" 

"Daisy please calm down" Pole picks up her up, "your safe now, please calm down" Pole gently rocks the puppy in his arms. 

"That was quite hectic" Charis laughs. 

"Oh, I guess I should Introduce the two" Pole chuckles, "But first let's head to the Diner".
