Rayla's wish for rapture never came, but an end to their torture did. They were finally freed from those annoying poles, got clothes, and were taken to first aid for healing. Soon, they were ready to fight again.

8 o clock. Time for morning announcements. Elizabeth was a liiiiiiiiiiiiiittle shocked at who made the announcement.

The radio crackled, static playing for a solid minute before an ominous little quiet ring sounded, commencing the start of the announcement. The voice sounded familiar, but it switched up every five words or so, sometimes sounded like a complete stranger, then one of the teammates. Then Elizabeth heard it. Her voice, clear as day, and her voice filled the camp completely. She felt at home. The announcements faded out as her voice continued speaking, gentle and calm, "made for the stage" Elizabeth thought to herself. They came to Paris for this exact reason, so she could live her life. Away from the hypocrites, away from the world. And her voice was the same as ever. She sounded like the girl she left the first day in Paris. Rayla looked concerned as a tear rolled down Elizabeth's face, her mind clearing for once.

Rayla asked Elizabeth what was wrong before Elizabeth demanded, "Tell me why she's here. Why is her voice on the radio? Why did she come here?" Rayla (somehow) calmly asked Elizabeth who she was talking about, to which Elizabeth replied in seconds, "Sydney. Where is she."

Rayla looked confused for a second, "Who's Sydney? Do you mean the person speaking right now?"
"YES!!! DUH!!" Elizabeth raged.
"Hon, calm. And that's the coordinator's daughter. No one knows her name, but we do know she's in charge of announcements and the

"FINAL FIGHT".

No one knows more than that."

Elizabeth calmed a little after hearing that it cannot be Sydney, probably someone who just sounds like it, but then she heard "F I N A L  F I G H T" and was concerned.

Rayla explained that the F  I  N  A  L    F  I G  H  T is when the coordinator and the final survivor fight to the death, to see if the winner is really worthy of freedom. The fight can in 3 ways, the survivor winning the fight, the coordinator winning the fight, or surrender.

"So, basically, the winner doesn't win until the coordinator is dead?"
"Ye."
"And that means the games end if the winner survives."
"Maybe."
"So if i win- wait, MAYBE???"
"No one actually won."
"......Makes sense."

Then Elizabeth realised she hadn't payed attention to the announcement at all. A random player explained everything, that the team wud be divided into pairs, after taking inspiration from the 'escape team'. Elizabeth went through war flash backs, while Rayla just prayed in her head again. One good thing was that the escape team would have the same pairs as they did the night of the escape, so Elizabeth and Rayla were still together. They had to fight in pairs, which gave them a huge advantage, cuz they were both awesome with their weapons (Cue imaginary fight edit).

Everyone was given time to prepare for their next fight, which was weird, cuz the entire team had to fight other teams.

A little extra stuff, there are four teams left, (there used to be 20 but they died out after the years this place kept going for like 10 years) and each team has 30 players, give or take. Usually, when each team has even number of players, they're split into pairs, that are connected to each other, via health monitors. Those health monitors make sure just one teammate doesn't survive. If your pair dies, you die. After the pairs are decided, the entire team fights the other, so the surviving team is later divided based on pairs. It used to be a multiple week event, but now it's just 2 days. After the dividing is done, the pairs fight the other pairs until the winning pair is announced.

Rayla and Elizabeth readied their weapons, put their gear on, and stood at the entrance, the big gates, the gates of fate (something all the players called it because rumor has it that the gates decide who wins and who dies).

The alarm sounded, and they set off into the battlefield.

As they walked through the long tunnel to the battlefield, Elizabeth shivered slightly, at the fact that she and Rayla would have to fight 30 people all together, like war. Elizabeth really didn't like the sound of that.

As they appeared in the battlefield, their eyes adjusting to the light, they saw who's team they were fighting against, Jonathan.

Elizabeth was so enraged that she almost attacked him before the gong rang. Rayla tried with all their might to hold her back, but when the gong rang after what felt like forever, Rayla let go, and Elizabeth went insane. She shot her arrows, nearly hitting him in the eyes multiple times, before she realised, his armour is gone. He had the same gear as every one. She didn't have to be precise, she could do whatever she wanted. She could be like William Afton was to Cassidy (your a real one if you got that reference).

Once she realised this, her fighting strategy changed completely. Instead of shooting precise arrows, she just threw her blades in the most unpredictable way possible. Jonathan didn't know what to dodge, when to dodge, where to dodge, how to dodge, who to dodge, his mind was everywhere, cuz Rayla looked, ever so slightly familiar. Jonathan stared in recognition, as Rayla shouted at Elizabeth to stop, to stop attacking their brother in law, pleading to let go of their only family.

As Rayla ripped Elizabeth away from Jonathan, wounded and close to death, she knew why Elizabeth was chosen to play.
"He's gonna die anyway, there's no point in ripping me away from him. He'll die from someone's arms." Elizabeth said, with no remorse in her eyes.
"I DON'T WANT HIM TO DIE IN MY BEST FRIENDS HANDS!!! GET AWAY FROM HIM!!! NOW!!!"
"It doesn't matter who kills him. He ends up dead either. So let go of me."
"I'm not letting go."
"Let go."
"No."
"He's dead either way."
"Doesn't matter, you're not killing him."
"You don't get it."
"I do. You're not ready to move on and you think the only way to move on is getting rid of the reason. That won't help. Your gonna feel worse seeing me depressed cuz my best friend decided to kill the one family I have left. Don't do this pls."

"......who said I cared about if your depressed or not."

Rayla's eyes widened in shock. She never cared about others. She cared if she got what she wanted. Or maybe she just didn't care about them. Just as she thought she was moving on from Sydney, and was ready to fall into their arms, her true colors shown.

Elizabeth picked up Jonathan's club and bashed him in the head with it, as Rayla cried in the corner, screaming, crying, begging, all for nothing. Their family ripped away from their, again, just like last time, and the blame will go on their again, no one will believe their, the court didn't, what different are the players here, what different is Elizabeth? Sure Jonathan messed up sometimes, but he was family, the only one who believed their, because he was the only one who saw. Rayla cried in depression, as Elizabeth kept fighting, leaving Rayla with their own thoughts, when she remembered who really did it. Who really testified in court, who really blamed it all on their, who really bashed her families head in, Jonathan. He did so much wrong, all because he couldn't move on from his dead wife.

As Elizabeth fought for Rayla, Rayla hugged her from the back, apologizing for being wrong. "He deserved to die. By your hands." "It's ok. Your fine." Elizabeth replied. "Wanna fight together?" "Sure"

Soon, they defeated the entire team, claiming victory. The next fight was the same, they both fought together, winning every time. After the fight, there were only 5 pairs left. They were each given a camp to stay at and train, getting ready for the next fight.

Elizabeth and Rayla had a heart to heart talk about what happened in the battlefield, clearing any misunderstanding between them. Though Rayla was a little sad that Elizabeth said those words, she was happy their rapist, the murderer of their parents, and the one who got their into jail was dead. Sooner, rapture would be real.
