The sun has risen by now. There was not a single cloud in the sky. The forest is thick with trees creating a collection of shadows. As the sun rose behind Drippy and Yadi numerous pairs of eyes were seen in the shadows. A chill ran down Drippy’s spine. She had never seen so many eyes before. All the eyes held a hostile glare.
“Uh Drippy. Maybe we should go another way.” Yadi said from Drippy’s back. Drippy quickly turned around only to see a horde of orcs covered in armor similar to that of Oakgu. Oakgu in the front.
“Come and Fight us you cowards!” Oakgu yelled in her booming voice. She pounded her hand against her breast plate.
A legion of Nagas exploded from the forest rushing towards the orcs. The orcs let out a battle cry and charged towards the nagas at breakneck speed. Drippy and Yadi were caught in the middle.
“Hold on tight!” Drippy shouted to Yadi. Yadi did as instructed. Drippy dropped into a squat and jumped up as high as she could. The wind rushed past their faces. Drippy grabbed onto a tree branch and hoisted herself up. She looked down and heard the constant clashing of claws on metal and metal against armor. The mixes of shouts and yells.
“Drippy we need to get out of here before we get-” Yadi was saying before her words got cut off by an arrow piercing the tree they were on. “Involved.”
Drippy nodded as she leaped from tree to tree. The previous trees she leaped from were getting knocked down and falling towards them. Drippy leaped away to a different path. She smelled smoke and looked back as a ball of fire chased after her. Drippy dodged as it hit a tree. “Are we at least going the right way?” Drippy asked Yadi.
“Judging from where the sun rose I would say yes.” Yadi said.
All of a sudden the trees before them vanished. They were several feet in the air. Drippy took a breath and righted herself in the air. She spread out her limbs so she could fall slower. Yadi had been yelling in her ear until they reached the ground. Drippy landed on the ground with a soft thud. Drippy stood up and brushed off her clothes. “You can let go now.” Drippy said nonchalantly.
Yadi let go of Drippy and dropped to the floor. “Remind me to never do that again.” They saw Oliver’s home before them.
