"So this is Ginger town? It is a lot bigger than Pallet town."- Said Rosalind looking from afar, still on the outskirts of the town.

"Yes, we are now officially outside of the Callid Barony, is this your first time leaving the territory?"

"Yes, everything I have known is now behind me, it is a bit scary to think that I will never come back, but my Dad is my only family now, the only things I am leaving are my workshop, and… my mother's grave."- Rosalind looked back towards her home with a sad expression.

"I am sorry Rosalind, I promise you, when this is over we will return to visit your mom."- Elysia placer her hand over Rosalind's shoulder, Rosalind placer her hand over Elysia's hand.

"I know, I trust you."

"Ok, it's time to meet your Dad, but before we enter the city, there is someone I want you to meet.

"Uh? What are you..." – Elysia covered Rosalind's eyes with her hand, and after a moment, she removed her hand and a new figure came into view.

"Elysia, is that you?"

In front of Rosalind was now standing a beautiful black haired woman, the adventurer outfit she was wearing did not match her elegant and mature appearance.

"Nice to meet you Miss Rosalind, my name is Celera, I am the Head of the Double Helix company."

Celera bowed to Rosalind making a sophisticated salute characteristic of a noble, then she held Rosalind's hand and kissed it. Rosalind stepped took a step back, flustered.

"Ely.. Elysia, how many personas do you have?"

"Haha, I am sorry, I like looking at that surprised face of yours."

"Don't worry, I only have three identities, but I may need to make more later. Sara is the face I use to go on missions, she allows me to mingle with the common people and other adventurers, and Celera is the face I use to run the Double Helix Company, every time I need to represent the company and make deals I use her, this is the face I used when I met your father."

"You use these personas so that nothing you do traces back to Elysia right?"

"Exactly, it is good that you figure things out so quickly, you are easy to talk to."- Celera looked directly into Rosalind's eyes, her face nearing closer and closer to Rosalind's.

"Uhmm, I think we should get going, it is getting really late."- Rosalind mumbled while looking away, her face blushing. Celera's elegant and more mature look had an unexpected charm, it was the face of a conniving woman who always got what she wanted.

Celera and Rosalind entered the town and headed straight to the Lucky Rat Inn, there at the third floor, two men were waiting for them. The young ladies climbed the stairs and reached the third floor, they were now in front of the designated door.

"Toc, toc, toc."- Celera knocked on the door using a specific pattern, and someone from inside opened the door.

A tall man with dark skin and white hair opened the door; he was quite handsome, his facial features were very refined, his body was clearly muscular but not too bulky, and his ears where pointy? He was a dark elf.

"Nando, good job, did you have any troubles fulfilling your mission?"

"Not at all Miss Celera, I gathered all the assets and evacuated without much issue, there were a few spies that tried to block me but I took care of them."

"You are reliable as always. Nando, this is Rosalind, she will be working with us from now on."

"Nice to meet you Miss Rosalind, it will be my pleasure working with you."

"Ah yes, likewise, please treat me well."- Nando's greeting was quite polite and professional, while Rosalind's was somewhat awkward, she was still not used to talking to strangers, specially one from a different race that she had only heard of in rumors.

"Rosalind, is that you?"

A trembling voice came from inside the room, it was a very familiar voice. Nando, noticing the voice coming from behind fully opened the door, revealing the interior of the room. For the first time in many days, father and daughter saw each other and quickly rushed into the other's embrace.

"Dad, I missed you so much, I am so glad you are okay."

"My precious girl, are you well? Are you unharmed?"

Father and daughter hugged each other, tears streaming down from their cheeks.

"Yes, I am fine, Miss Celera saved me, many things happened, it was really scary, but she kept me safe."

Franklin directed his gaze towards Celera, a great sense of relief radiated from his face.

"Miss Celera, I owe you my and my daughter's life, I swear I will work hard to repay this debt, Thank you."

"Don't mind it, I am glad I could keep my promise, you have a lot to talk about I assume, we will leave you two alone for now."

"Nando, let's go."- Celera and Nando left the room, closing the door behind them.

Celera and Nando climbed over the building reaching the roof over the third floor, the view of the sunset over the town was quite mesmerizing, orange sunrays bathing the town's streets and buildings. Celera looked deeply into the sunset as if pondering, Nando standing right next to her, and Splyce snoozing behind them.

"Ellie, what happened? Something is unusual about you."

"Am I always so easy to read?"

"No, thankfully the only ones who can read you like this are me and your aunt, otherwise, you would probably be dead by now."

"How is aunt Victoria by the way?"

"Busy as usual, she is working twice as hard now to make sure everything doesn't fall apart, but aside from that she is fine."

"Good, at this point, not hearing bad news is good news."

"How is Frigal holding up?"

"He is doing well for now, but he may only be able to hold up for another five years at most."

"Yes, I need to hurry."

"So, are you going to tell me what happened?"- Nando inquired once more.

"I killed fifty-three people and a beast during this mission, I hated it, it is at moments like these that I wish I had the dark attribute like you, or Mom."

"Ellie, you did what you had to do, even without the dark attribute; most apprentice assassins end up going mad, even having the attribute. You need to find something that can take your mind off from the darkness, an anchor to hold you in the storm."

"When I was younger, I thought I could use Splyce as my anchor, he is the reason I survived five years ago, but he is still too young, and the things that I did and went through ended up hurting him through our link. I also thought of using Dolly, Vesper, or even Murder, but they remind me too much of the past."

"I know it is difficult, I have been writing so many songs lately, but music is not a replacement for the anchor that I lost."- Nando, said in a depressed tone.

"Maybe I am, but I have seen this many times, people who turn their backs on others the moment things turn difficult; parents abandoning their children, friends betraying friends, lovers discarding their loved ones. I believe Rosalind is different; she may be frail and weak, but even after listening to my story she said she would still support me, she is kind and caring, she makes me feel safe, and most of all, she doesn't remind me of the past."

"Well, I hope you are right about her kiddo." – Nando placed his arm over Elysia's shoulder, Elysia turned to him wearing a smile, the two of them watched together as the sun finally set.

After a couple hours, Celera and Nando returned to the room, Franklin and Rosalind had been able to talk about what had happened during these last few days and were now more comfortable. Now, the four of them were sitting around a table, ready to discuss their future plans.
