The file piled up, another day, and the killer is to be found. I gather the evidence once again, hoping for a glimpse of something that would complete the puzzle, but nothing. Not until
Bzz bzzz,
“Come down to the office, we've got something.” Richard almost yelled at the phone.
Almost running, I go down the stairs of my home, bumping into my daughter.
“Ouch, Momma, where are you going?” Layla
“I'm so sorry, honey, I can't explain. I have to go, love you.” I burst out the door, without looking back at my confused, sweet daughter.
I get into the car and I start to drive away.
“I came as fast as I could. What's wrong? What did you find?” I say almost without breath from running to the building.
“We found hair DNA on one of the woman's mouths. We don't know how that got there. Maybe the killer is trying to mislead us, or the victim somehow got some hair for evidence of her death, because it is not something you find often, plus it was a ball of hair. “ Richard
“Okay, did you run it on the system to see whose it is?” I almost scream at them for action
“Y-ye,s but you might not like what we fund.” Richard
“Well… what did you find?” I nervously say, my heart is beating fast, starting to sweat, even though in here we are freezing.
“It's.. a dead man,” Richard
“A dead man?” I say without believing what I just heard.
“Your husband, who died 6 years ago”, Richard
