When Mantas wakes up, he feels something warm and heavy on him. He isn't fully aware of what is happening. He thinks he is dreaming. He tries to roll to his side but finds he can't, as someone or something is holding him in place. He fully wakes up at that. He finds that Amor and Lexi had shifted towards him during the night. Amor is holding him by the waist, trapping his left arm. Lexi is holding his right arm to her body. The freyjas lay on top of the humans like furry blankets.
His face turns bright red at the two actions. He can't believe they did that to him when he was sleeping. “Hey! You two!” He tries to get out of their grips and wake them up. He tries waking up the freyjas to see if they will wake the other two humans up.
Amor holds Mantas closer to his body as if he were a teddy bear. Lexi had a light hold of Mantas's arm. He can slip his arm out of her hold easily, he uses his newly freed hand to smack Amor in the face. “Wake up and let go of me!”
“Huh?” Amor wakes up like something hitting him in the face, but he’s unable to process what it could be. It took him a while to feel the struggling Mantas in his arms. “Oh! When did you get here?” He forgot what happened in his dazed and tired state.
“Let go of me!” Mantas demands as he smacks Amor in the face again.
“You don't have to be so mean.” He pouts and lets go of Mantas. Noting wanting to be trapped again, Mantas backs away from the group.
“Oh! The pretty lady is here.” Then it hits Amor of what happened yesterday. “We are traveling!” He sits up and looks at the rising sun. He enjoys seeing the sunrise and the warm sun rays on his face.
At all the noise the two are making, it wakes up the freyjas and Lexi. The freyjas get up and do big cat stretches. Lexi sits up, trying to wake up more.
“Let's have breakfast,” Amor says as he gets up. He is about to make a campfire, but Lexi stops him. “We can have bread and jam.” She thinks that will be a good and quick breakfast for the humans.
“Jam!” Amor lights up. He loves it, but it's costly to make due to the lack of sugar. Sugar was too costly for commoners.
“I will show you how I get the food. Don't tell others. It's my skill. Online shopping.” She tells him.
Amor nods and agrees. He will keep it a secret, even if he is tortured.
She goes to show him. He and the freyjas look in amazement at it. The freyjas have no idea what is going on but are just looking at the lights. Amor tries to look over Lexi's shoulder. Causing him to be very close to her in the cramped space. She doesn't mind it, as he isn't trying to touch her on purpose.
She orders a slice of bread and a jar of jam. She just gets grape jam, as that is what people normally like. She pays for everything and it appears with her change.
Amor is amazed at how her skill works. He wants to see what other stuff she could buy.
Lexi takes out a knife and the chicken breasts from her dimension storage. She finds the chicken to be still cold. It should be grossly warm by now. “Does dimension storage have a time freeze thing or a freezer thing?” She asks Mantas.
“Some dimension storage does have the ability to stop time. Mine does. Yours have it too.” He guessed by her asking about it.
She nods. She makes and serves them the jelly sandwiches. She gives the remaining chicken breasts to the freyjas, who both happily eat meat that is unlike that they had before.
Mantas fills her in more about dimension storage skill. Some are born with small ones, which They can train their magic or use items to make them bigger or slow time for objects in them. There are a few who could speed up time inside of their storage instead, something that is useful for foods that need time to ferment, like many types of alcohol.
Some can gain dimension storage skills, by learning a certain type of magic or using a rare item.
“A rare item? Where would someone get something like that?” She wants to know about this world so she can fit in better.
“Oh! In dungeons!” Amor answers.
“I guess I should fill her in more.” Mantas sighs. He informs her that the world has dungeons of many types. Some are filled with monsters, some with traps. When the monsters are defeated, they drop items. It could be something from the monster or magic items. Magical items are more rare to be dropped by monsters. Magical items, with coins, can be found in chests. The coins are legal and legit to be used.
“Where are they found?” She has a lot more questions to be asked about dungeons. She wants to enter one.
Mantas explains that they can be found anywhere. Cities had been built around them. As they produce a lot of business for people going in and out of them. There are wild ones that are unknown or not worth going in. It could be none of the monsters dropping anything good or the dungeon being empty.
She passes the jelly sandwiches once she is done. She gives Mantas a motion sickness pill. “Take that before eating. It will help a lot with the ride.”
Mantas looks at the pill, puzzled by it. It's so small, is it really medicine? He takes it and swallows it with no issues.
The three eat the jelly sandwiches. Mantas isn't a fan of sweet foods. He prefers salty and meaty dishes better. Amor loves it. He has a sweet tooth.
“Does your skill make nothing but good food?” Amor wants to try all of the food, even though he has no clue where it comes from.
“There are good and bad foods. To me. I guess this is average.” She can temporarily open a food stall to make some quick money when they are in towns, or villages. It’s another way to make money and not leave a trace of spices.
Mantas has the same idea. They could charge a lot for the meals and make a ton of money in one day. They don't have to spend a lot of money to get the ingredients either.
Amor is enjoying the jelly sandwiches with a big grin. He is getting jelly on his face as he eats.
Lexi sees that and laughs. He looks like a kid with jelly on his face. She points it out and he cleans his face off with his hands. He licks the jelly off his fingers, not wanting to waste any of it.
Amor ends up eating a second one and having a third on the road. He likes them that much and he can eat a lot.
They get the freyjas ready and hook up. Amor returns to the coachman's seat. Lexi and Mantas get to the passenger seats. Mantas is unsure whether the medication he took will work. He hadn't seen pills that tiny.
They took off. Mantas is clinging on like before, but not feeling as sick. He is glad about not losing his breakfast.
