Tiin, tiin! The morning streets were packed with vehicles, filled with the piercing sound of honking that rattled the eardrums. Tian walked away from the shop. His shoulders felt heavy—he longed to go home and lie down on his bed. But this was his first day at work; how could he afford to slack off now? Krring, krring! His phone rang loudly. Startled, Tian stopped immediately and grabbed his phone.
“Tianmy, you need to come in thirty minutes. There’s a patient,” said a soft voice—it was Kihyeon. His voice was like a gentle breeze on a late afternoon. Tian nodded in agreement and ended the call. Quickly, he ran toward the hospital, hoping not to be late. Taking public transport was no option—the roads were congested and jammed.

“Where’s the doctor? My wife is pregnant!” demanded a young man of about twenty-eight who had just married. He raised his voice and slammed the table. His wife cried, wiping her eyes.
“Sorry, sir, but your appointment is at 8:30, and it’s only 8:00 now,” Kihyeon explained. It was only his first day on the job, yet trouble was already brewing.
“But there are no other patients—why can’t we be seen earlier?” the wife started to speak, searching for another excuse. In fact, they had been like this since ten past seven, just as Tian left the hospital.
At first, they caused a commotion at the registration desk. They were upset that no doctor was available at seven o’clock, even though several doctors were actually free—but they kept finding faults. Eventually, they agreed to book an appointment for half past eight. Yet again, they caused more trouble. The husband complained that his wife was overheated outside, even though they were sitting in the waiting room with air conditioning. The wife wasn’t sweating at all and seemed perfectly relaxed. Well, rather than argue again, it was easier to just go along with their demands.
“Let my wife wait inside the doctor’s room,” he insisted. The hospital had strict rules—only doctors, assistants, and patients with scheduled appointments were allowed inside. But this time, they couldn’t do anything about it. Kihyeon had tried countless times to calm them down, but it was all in vain. Haerin had also stepped in, but well, some people just don’t listen. Now they were inside the room, and after only a few minutes of waiting, they were causing a fuss again.
Enemies. Only one word can explain their friendship. Tian, the student with features that are anything but boring is very irritating. Every time Kihyeon greets him, Tian would merely brush it off. Until finally their hard work period at school is over. Kihyeon is asked by one of the female students to give a love letter to Tian, but Tian misunderstands. He thinks the love letter is from Kihyeon. The misunderstanding makes the situation even more complicated. Will they be able to resolve the issue?
