First of all, there are a limited number of slots to do so, which gives a unique rank called Blood Vassals. To turn someone into a Blood Vassal, a Vampire Progenitor must form a contract with the potential Vassal. Not only that, but the individual must be in their right mind, and they must agree to it of their own will. They can also negotiate the terms of the contract, which means that the Vampire Progenitor will be the one conceding. However, once a contract is made, the Vampire Progenitor can turn the individual. Upon being turned a Blood Vassal will have complete free will, that said, they are incapable of doing anything that could potentially bring harm to the clan. Furthermore, they get a power boost of 100% of the Vampire Progenitor’s original Power Level. Additionally, they get a unique skill that is formed based on their life’s profession. This, in turn, determines the type of plot within the Progenitor’s Birth City that will manifest. So if I vassalize the Arch Magus, his plot will most likely be something related to magic. The only issue is how to convince him.』 After explaining everything to Lilya, I then shifted my focus back to the girls in front of me. During my explanation to Lilya, several of the girls succeeded in turning their attendants into Blood Attendants; however, Elizabeth and Claudia have yet to do so. Of those 4 individuals mentioned, the human smith will most likely jump at the chance to be turned, the Dwarf Smith, on the other hand, will take a little convincing, although it is possible as he is getting old and an extension to his life to work on his craft would certainly hold an appeal. The Lycanthrope is a wild card with her chaotic personality it can go either way, while the Halfling is the hardest of the four since she is very young and is extremely obsessed with nature and with the Vampire's tendency to corrupt the flora even above the group, convincing her will be a fool's errand. Surprisingly, the Arch Magus, despite being a High Elf, is a very friendly and open fellow; his personality seems as though it will be easy to convince him to be turned. I decided the order would be the Human Smith, the Dwarf Smith, the Arch Magus High Elf, then the Lycanthrope Ranger, and if they all agreed, I would try my luck with the halfling, though I couldn’t have high hopes for her. I waited until Loretta finished turning her household attendants, during which another attendant whom she had sent earlier to call the Household soldiers and knights had informed us that the individuals had rallied in the manor’s courtyard. I then went to the courtyard along with Lilya and Loretta and inspected the Soldiers. When they saw the crimson eyes of me, Lilya, and Loretta, they began to shuffle nervously. “Greetings to you all, I am the Vampire Progenitor Will von Mortis. I require strong individuals to become Blood Champions. I have chosen all of you to fill that role. Don’t worry, though, one of the perks of becoming a Blood Champion is that you can turn your family members. So who wants to go first?” I looked at them expectantly. However, none stepped forward, and when I looked at them closer, I could see that they looked frightened and pale. 『Will, you are not going to convince anyone like that. Why don’t I explain it better? Loretta stated calmly, but it was clear she was holding back laughter. 『Go right ahead.』I responded. However, it was then that I realized something. Vampire Progenitors get their starting personality from bonding with their Blood Consorts and living their memories. I turned 10 different girls into Blood Consorts, meaning that I have lived the memories of 10 people, each with a separate personality and experiences. I went from level-headed and grounded to a chaotic mix of multiple personalities. My ability to make proper analyses and judgments has tanked. When I realized this, I decided that I should put off the attempt to form contracts with the specialized individuals until I had properly digested the memories and formed my personality. While I was lost in my thoughts, Loretta seemed to be able to convince the house soldier to be turned. However, I decided that now wasn’t the time to turn them. I need to prepare a certain amount of blood that will be used when they are turned. I don’t want them to be drinking my blood straight from my neck. Even having to bite their neck to start the process of turning them feels unpleasant. But alas, I have no choice but to do so. After deciding this, I then spoke to the girls. 「Lilya, Loretta, I decided to return in two days to turn the soldiers into blood champions. That said, I would like for everyone whom I have currently turned to return to Mortishaven so they can link to it and learn to use their innate abilities.
