He was a guy who had recently joined the drama club.

Like me, he liked to come to the drama club room when no one else was there.

His name was Ken.

We'd come here when no one else was around.

We wouldn't talk much. We would sit in silence, either reading or he would just watch me practice a scene.

Sometimes he'd offer me snacks that he liked to buy from the vending machine at school.

And sometimes I could feel his eyes on me.

In those moments, I would look at him, but his eyes would already be turned away.

"Hey, were you looking at me?" I asked.

"Me? No..." he answered a little awkwardly.
