A long time ago, before the founding of the world's kingdoms mankind was facing a battle for survival, the world was filled with powerful magical beasts, their massive size and unique abilities allowed them to compete with one another for control over the best territories, magical beasts were drawn to places with high concentration of mana and resources.
Among them; the most powerful were known as the calamities, colossal titans of unknown origin of which there exist only one individual and are thought to exist since the beginning of time. These calamities seized control over the deep oceans, the highest peaks, the densest forests, deserts and caves where the mana concentration was the highest. On the other hand humans; being naturally weak had to settle in places with the least amount of available resources and mana; as to avoid contact with these magical beasts that threatened their existence.
Things continued like this for a long time, until one day... a man in the eastern continent appeared, his name was Irwin.
Irwin was a fisherman, he was walking along a river looking for the safest spot to fish, as there were many magical beasts living in the river that would not hesitate to eat a weak human, after finding the right spot he cast his rod.
"Huh, I hate my luck, why do I always have to be the one chosen to go out to fish? I swear the village chief wants me dead, pulling the short straw five times in a row doesn't make any sense, I am surprised to still be alive considering our scouts almost always suffer casualties in their expeditions, maybe I am lucky."- Said Irwin, trying to find logic in the odds.
After catching a few fishes he prepared to return home; when suddenly..
"Kuuungg, kuuung." "What the..."
Irwin heard a growl coming from behind him, he slowly turned around to see where the sound was coming from fearing the worst; but to his surprise there was nothing there, he stood still for a moment and then he heard the noise again.
"Kuung, kuuung, kuuung."- "What is that sound?"
The sound was not a growl but actually a faint cry, Irwin followed the cry to it's source within the bushes, and soon after; he saw it.
"I think it's coming from here, is that... a nest?"
In front of Irwin was a massive mount of dirt and leaves; it was a magical beast's nest, but something was wrong...
"The nest is half destroyed, did another beast raid it? The mother won't come back all of a sudden right? It could mistake me as the culprit."
"Kuung, kuuung."- The cry continued to be heard from within the leaves, Irwin crawled into the nest and dug around the leaves, there were many pieces of broken egg shells all over, leftovers of another monster's meal,finally he pinpointed the source of the cry, it was an egg, still intact.
"I knew it, I guess today is my lucky day, I am sure my reputation will rise in the village if I bring this back, it will be quite the feast."- Irwin's mind ran wild with fantasies of recognition and praise, Irwin held the egg in his arms when suddenly...
"Crack""Uh?""Kuuuuung."- The egg shell cracked along with Irwin's daydreams.
From inside the egg, a magical beast was born, the creature had a big head with a long snout, a big mouth filled with teeth, it's body covered in green scales and a long tail.
"Don't tell me... a Dread Maw?"
Dread Maw, a type of magical beast resembling a crocodile, the reigning beast controlling this river, an adult Dread Maw can reach 15 meters in length and become powerful enough to be ranked as a level 6 magical beast, comparable to a human Grandmaster mana user.
"Kuuung? kuuung?""Oh no, If the river lord finds out about this it might destroy the whole village.""wait what are you doing?"
"Kyuung? Kuuung?"-The dread maw hatchling stared directly into Irwin's eyes and Irwin did the same, as if caught in a trance, the world around them seemed to stop.
"Kuung?""Now that I look at you more closely, you are kinda cute."
Irwin did not know it yet but the little hatchling had imprinted on him, when a baby crocodile is ready to hatch, it cries out for it's mother, the mother would then open the nest and help the hatchlings out of the egg, after gently holding the hatchlings inside her mouth she would take them back to the river, where she will protect them for the first few weeks of their lives. However, the one the baby hatchling saw right after coming out from the egg was not it's mother, but a weak human. Whatever the case; it was too late, that day a deep bond between man and magical beast was born, Irwin became the first ever beast tamer.
Many years passed, Irwin and Agro became great friends, Agro grew to become a powerful juvenile Dread Maw, and Irwin discovered the secrets behind the beast tamer's bond. Thanks to Agro, Irwin was able to share the dread maw's skills, incredible physical resistance, the ability to hold his breath for several hours, high resistance to diseases and infections, and crazy feats of strength in short intervals. But there was more, Irwin discovered something about himself, he was a wielder of the rarest attribute in the world; the light attribute.
The light attribute turns the mana inside one's body into divine mana, the only mana capable of entering another person's body to cure diseases and heal injuries. And it was not just Irwin and Agro, Irwin shared his knowledge with the people of the Eastern Continent, humanity went into a new era of discovery and progress, more and more humans began to bond with magical beast, which allowed them to expand their territories and resources. Long gone were the days when humans were weak and cowering from beasts to save their lives, now they were bold pioneers, exploring new places and expanding their reach.
Having explored most of the Eastern continent Irwin found himself bored.
"Agro, I am starting to feel trapped here, you know, like a big croc in a small pond, don't you agree?"
"Graaaaaawwwwrrrr"- Agro agreed.
And so it was decided, it was the time for a new adventure, Irwin and Agro crossed the sea and arrived at the Central Continent, upon arrival, Irwin met the one who would become his best human friend, his name was Darwin, and together they traveled all around the eastern half of the continent.
The Central Continent was not much different from what the Eastern Continent had been, humans also lived hidden in secluded communities and villages, afraid of being exterminated by the beasts. Irwin shared his secrets with his new friends, and everywhere they went, the people's way of life changed, Irwin showed them that coexisting with beasts was possible.
Along the journey, Irwin and Darwin met many new friends, one of them was Mendel, a young man living next to the Central Mountain range, he would later become the founder of House Mendel, and the first ever Dragon tamer.
After many years of traveling together, Irwin decided it was time to return home, the adventure was over, Irwin and Agro returned to the Eastern continent. By now, Irwin's teachings had spread like wildifre, and where shared all around as if it was a gospel. Unknowingly, in this godforsaken world, Irwin had become a saint, and his teachings were a shining light bringing hope to humanity. Irwin's descendants decided to continue his work and founded the Irwin Church, which later grew into what today is known as the Holy Kingdom.
Back in the Central Continent, Darwin, Mendel and their other friends decided to disband their group as well, but not completely, they had all become incredibly powerful, so Darwin came up with an idea... Unification. Darwin asked all of his friends to return to their homeland and take control over them; becoming the leaders of their respective territories, they swore their loyalty to Darwin and united all of the eastern territories in the Central continent under the same banner, humanity now stood united as a powerful species, and Darwin became the first king of the newly formed Darwin Kingdom.

"Huh? the end? Teacher, what happened to Irwin and Agro after they returned home?"
"Teacher, dragon tamer's are the strongest tamers in the world right?"
"Will I be able to tame a dragon too?"
"Now now children, calm down. I can't answer your questions if you all ask at the same time."
The woman's reprimands fell on deaf ears, the group of kids kept bombarding her with comments and questions. Nora, a woman in her mid thirties was teaching a class to her group of students. Nora had short light brown hair and was wearing a proper teacher's outfit, she was in charge of teaching a group of young noble students, all of them around ten years old.
"Mama Nora, tell us the story of your pilgrimage with Dad, the story of when you and Dad fought the minotaur."- A young red hair girl with blue eyes asked incesantly.
"Elysia, you already heard that story countless times, also, how many times do I have to tell you? Inside the classroom you must address me as teacher."
"Aww come on, I love it when you tell that story, it was after that battle that father proposed to you isn't it?"-Elysia replied in a familiar tone, still not showing proper respect.
"Elysia, mind your manners, that story is not meant to be shared in public!"- Nora yelled at Elysia, her face blushing bright red, she then threw a piece of chalk at the young girl, hitting her right in the forehead.
"Ackk, ouch, okay, I'm sorry."- Elysia rubber her forehead that had turned red from the impact.
"Good, now that everyone is quiet, let's move on to the next topic, I want all of you to take out your math books, I hope you all did your homework."- Nora turned around and started writing some numbers and formulas on the board.
"Uhmm, teacher Nora.."- A young boy called out for the teacher in a timid voice, the boy was quite unique in appearance, his hair was silver and his skin had a dark color, his ears were fairly long and pointy, he was a dark elf.
"What is it Vesper?"
"It's about sister Elysia."
"What about her?"- Nora turned around to face the class once again looking at Vesper.
"She is gone again."
"Eh?"-Nora looked at Elysia's seat, it was empty, the classroom window was open and Elysia was nowhere to be seen.
"Aaahhhh! not again."-Nora yelled.
