As per her daily, simple yet boring routine, Sora is sitting on her desk with her only interest for boy bands in this life when Taeho texts her, "Congratulations! You got a text from a future Idol (artists who dedicate themselves for music)" It's not surprising for her to know that her classmate already knows what pick up line can make her blush as her social media and supplies speak louder. But! How can he react so casual after the conversation they had last time? Sora knows how to keep her cool since unwanted attachment can shutter both ends. Fighting with her inner demons for how she should reply, another text arrives saying, "Come to the studio at four tomorrow." Her fingers immediately crawls towards the keyboard asking, "Why though?" Another reply comes at once, "After my practice, we can hang out." Here comes another conflict in her mind whether she should go or not. It's out of her daily routine anyways. All she can do is to reply him in a blunt way, "Ok, bye."
She keeps her mobile down, feeling a wave of adrenaline rush of which the reason is still unknown to her or maybe she's just pretending to not know the grounds.
Her night went on deciding whether she should go see him or not but there is no benefit of discussing it as she's already in front of the dance studio.
Her excitement flooded her heart causing to set her foot inside the studio. Within a minute of wandering around, she awestrucks, making her ears all red, not sure if it's for the unacquainted atmosphere of the lavish studio or the one familiar figure that is standing out among so many people around. There is a bright aura reflecting from him while the stomping rhythm of the dancers' footsteps resonates in sync. Even if there are so many people doing so many things, Sora's eyes seem to stuck on one person and it's none other than her classmate, Taeho. She did know about Taeho working on becoming an idol but it never really provoked her to get to know about it. "He's too good to be still stuck in a studio practicing like his life matters only on it."
"Fate is really not on anyone's favour," she thinks.
In the meantime, Taeho has already finished his practice and was applauding for his dance mates when his eyes lay on an ordinary girl standing afar. He had no expectation to actually see her. Sora might have never care about people around her but Taeho would always like to study his surroundings thus he won't hurt anyone, not even unintentionally. Therefore he knew there is a very low chance of her showing up for him. He couldn't control his excitement and happiness knowing his trick of making Sora fall in the greed of seeing an 'Idol Factory' would actually work.
As Taeho approached Sora, he exclaims, "Hey Sora! You actually came." Sora again tries to pull up her moody character by replying him with a "Hmm." No kind of ill treatment or blunt speech can make a radiant person like Taeho tone down, instead he comes a little closer to her and initiates the conversation asking, "So how was my performance?" With a great theoretical knowledge in this field, she replies, "Yes it was actually very good" looking away she says, "My bad that I won't be able to see you as an idol." The words coming from her mouth make Taeho's heart sink into a pool of darkness, in this pool he can see Sora already sitting on the bottom. Taeho could have easily dragged her out of this black only if she would raise her hands. Well he would now grab her hands anyway as he's already into it, the lights he has absorbed before falling in should be enough to make Sora leave this depressing place.
Without thinking once if he will be crossing the boundaries and the line of being just a classmate, he speaks again, with a sincere raspy voice, "You have to see me." The words coming out of his mouth are unexpected to her, making her own self out of words, wishing for some more sentences to process the whole situation. Sensing the hesitation in Sora, Taeho conveys his opinion, "You can see me as an idol. Your sickness isn't a problem. You and I still will be here." With a mixed emotion of helplessness and anger, Sora utters, "I'm not a kid. I need to face reality." Taeho talks back, "Sora you need to live your life!" so does she counters, "No problem, I'm not scared of death." Taeho, slightly shouting, "BUT I'M!"
Sora loses her ability to speak anymore as Taeho's lips tremble. Sora's silence makes it easy for Taeho to express his thoughts even when he's now in a low state of mind for how to put this unknown feelings altogether. Taking a deep breath, he opens his mouth, "Nobody knows what's in our future. You are not really looking forward to anything then why don't you count on me? Be my only support and I'll be able to watch you live like how others do." Sora's eyes widen a bit, his words make sense to Sora when no one else has said these things to her before, yet the denial of faith haunts her inside, she, in a pleading yet tranquil voice, asks, "But why are you bothering yourself for me?" A smile curves Taeho's lips following his words,
"It's for us!"
