Sitting in the wheelchair, Sora picks up a bouquet of sunflowers. She carefully observes the bouquet with a smile on her face when her eyes land on a tag attached to it.
The tag says: "Congratulations for your discharge. You've made it Sora!"
Now a days these little things make Sora blush, makes her cheeks red even when her skin is pale. With a jolly mood, she checks her mobile to get updates on recently debuted idol Taeho from the group 'Sunlight'. Now she has a bigger responsibility of fangirling so that Sunlight receives a lot of support. Not to mention that one puppy cute member of the group who needs special care. And with vice versa, Taeho has become the source of light that has been curing the rotten will of her, not only by emotionally supporting her from afar, but also spoiling Sora by sending VIP pass for their concert.
The day has come that Sora will finally be able to see Taeho as an idol with her own eyes. She has been manifesting this day since a year and now she's in front of the venue in her wheelchair, nobody getting bothered by her as she's Sunlight's VIP guest. The large venue, all the dazzling decorations, the chaos of audience, people screaming their lungs out, singing along the group while Sora stays still with a banner for Taeho. It made her realise how big he has become, how he actually lived his life with no regrets to come this far. After the Sunlight is done with their performances, the VIPs get to do a 'Meet & Greet' with their idols. Sora patiently waits for her turn when she hears a voice she's been longing to perceive. She looks back immediately as her eyes lands on Taeho, his shiny outfit reflects his inner radiance while he stands there with a warm welcoming smile, silently wanting to get one glance of her. As their eyes meet, Sora gets hit by a nostalgic wave where Taeho is her annoying classmate, "You were so cool and your members!" she yells with no filter, not caring about her surroundings. She can be anything just to support Taeho like those good or maybe not so good old days. However Taeho, who has missed seeing her for almost a year, still looks concerned about her health, "How are you?" he asks in a deep yet soft, raspy voice which makes Sora curl up a bit. "Hmm, good..." She was about to say something when she gets cut off by another familiar voice. As both turns their head to the side, it reveals the most handsome member of Sunlight, Jiwoon and his confidence can be seen in his body language. Without any hesitation he speaks, "You must be Sora." "Yes and I know you're Jiwoon!" she replies with her one year experience of following Sunlight. A teasing smile curves on Jiwoon's lips, "Yes! Taeho says a lot about you. I hope you're doing well." She internally becomes so happy knowing that Taeho keeps her in his mind, also now she gets to talk with another idol, "Yes I'm. By the way you were so cool on the stage" she chats with him while Taeho stands there observing her liveliness. Jiwoon, on the other hand with an intention of teasing Taeho, replies to Sora, "Thank you! I hope you come to see us frequently. Maybe give me your number so that I can invite you myself if Taeho ever forgets." His teasing works making Taeho glare at him as he grins, "Jiwoon, you dare not!" The other two laughs at his clumsy behaviour.
Sora's life gets on track along with Taeho becoming more famous and talented. Even when they're distant, they never forget to check on each other. Taeho stays up to date about Sora's health, where Sora patiently waits for his one text, having a sense of how busy he's, never worrying about him cutting ties with her or ignoring her. Her confidence comes from the little things he still does for her. Maybe she still hates getting princess treatments but not when it comes from Taeho.
Sora, sitting on her desk, wandering how to spend her time. She haven't received any text from him in a while so she decides to surf on the internet when an article catches her attention.
"SUNLIGHT'S MEMBER TAEHO LEAVES THE GROUP DUE TO HEALTH ISSUES."
Why she isn't aware of anything? The thought starts to eat her inside. She immediately dials Taeho's number but he doesn't answer which makes her more anxious. Without wasting any more time she texts Jiwoon but his reply doesn't help anything for her anxiety. She wishes that she didn't have the ability to read. Her whole body feels numb causing her to drop her mobile while she stares blankly at something indeterminate.
Jiwoon's text says, "I'm sorry I didn't have the courage to tell you beforehand. He is diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (a type of bone cancer). He won't be able to perform anymore. He doesn't want you to know this but he really needs you right now."
