The one month challenge is nothing for Soul. He may look easy and goofy but he's really professional with his work, making him one of the best employees in The Parks within a small period of time. He's been in this office for a year now, long enough to notice the CEO's cocky attitude towards everyone. His observant nature can forecast almost anything. This is what makes him so confident about himself to take the job, so as Mr. Yang.
"Soul! I know you can do this. Just make sure you don't get hurt because of Mr. Shin's cold behavior. He's a good kid."
"Don't worry sir. I won't disappoint you. It's just we will miss you since there will be no one to save us from his tantrums."
Both Mr. Yang and Soul shares heartfelt words and chuckles since the day for Mr. Yang's goodbyes is approaching. Being so close to Mr. Yang for a month made Soul feel so dear. He learnt almost everything about the company's business which includes what to do and not to do while being with Mr. Park Shin.
The company engages with the preparation of Mr. Yang's farewell with great enthusiasm. The Parks never compromises when there is an event as it is the only time when the staffs can relax and have fun. Everyone including Soul joins hands while Mr. Yang sits with Shin in his cabin.
"Thank you so much uncle for what you've done for us."
"Shin! Try to be nice with Soul, okay?" Mr. Yang smiles.
Shin hums as he looks away feeling awkward.
Later at the farewell event, Mr. Yang himself brings Soul in front of Shin. "Mr. Shin! Here is your new secretary." He smiles as he points his hand towards Soul who was just standing there with a curve around his lips. "Ok now I can enjoy the party," he speaks before leaving them alone with each other.
"How can I help you sir?" Soul looked so innocent while talking. His pink cardigan slipping from his shoulder, bangs covering his forehead, enough to notice his tiny eyeliners. The cheeks are tinted like roses making them look softer than before. His scent has a perfect blend with the party energy.
Shin takes enough time to notice these things before replying, "Just don't. Let me give you one day to rethink your life decisions. Who knows if the next party will be held for you?"
"Okay if you say so." He says and leaves casually.
Shin who has no interest in the party thrown by himself, sits in a counter, far enough from the hustle and close enough to monitor everyone. Somehow his eyes get stuck on the guy with whom he will be spending his days from now on. He looks quite the opposite of what Shin is, smiling and laughing with everyone while sipping orange juice where Shin sits here all alone with a glass of cold beer in his hand. Somehow Soul has an engaging personality which is making Shin stare at him even more. It feels like he has more people who loves him than Shin does.
Soul, on the other hand, doesn't even notice the CEO. He has his own circle of people, though his extroverted personality won't let him bind between few people. He is simply enjoying the party without thinking about other stuffs.
After a long session of observing a guy, Shin gets up and heads toward the restroom as the beer that he has been chugging on started hitting. The silence and solitude of the restroom gave him the time to realize what he has been doing. He questions himself through the mirror over the sink, "Is it okay to have that guy around me? No I'm just thinking too much. He's just one of my employees." All his thoughts get disrupted with a creak of the door. Oh No it's him.
"Oh I'm sorry! I didn't know that you're here," Soul speaks politely as he can sense the CEO might be having a bad headache.
"This is not my office so do your business," as Shin speaks, he gets irritated by his headache that keeps getting worse due to his baseless thoughts. So he decides to leave the restroom.
But his tipsy head makes him collide with the fragile figure of Soul who has no attention on his CEO. The collision makes Soul startle but he wasn't strong enough to hold on to Shin's tall and toned body making both of them hit the ground while Shin lands on top of Soul.
Soul's absent mind has processed the entire situation now, only to find out Shin's dark eyes piercing his. Soul doesn't try to push him away as it may create more awkwardness. This makes Shin comes to his sense. He gets up without helping Soul and apparently leaves him on the floor as it is, while Shin leaves the restroom in a blink of an eye. Shin barges out of the building and gets in his car, again questioning himself, "What's wrong with me?"
However the scene in the restroom is different. Soul now has sat on the floor, rubbing the back of his head as he says,
"Doesn't he have some manners? I fell for him and he just left me!" How rude."
