Of Them Who Spoke - (04/03/2016)
(renamed from "The Suicidal Child (Speaks to the World)")

It's time for me to say goodbye
To a world that cares not if or when I die
I'm leaving now, yet I don't want to go
But if I drop dead, no one will know

It appears that no one really cared for me
So the best thing I can do is leave
I'm standing here, I'm on my own
Not much difference, as I was always alone

I am tired of hurting, I am tired of lying
I have been tired of hiding, and tired of crying.
They say that I could never be fixed
They say that I won't ever be missed

The bruises and scars across my skin
Paint a canvas of my suffering
The hurtful words stuck in my ear
From loving mouths, I once held dear

A rope now where I lay my head
Feels more comfortable than when I lay in bed
Better than the mistrust I had to take
Whenever I would make mistakes

I am tired of trying, I am tired of bleeding
I have been tired of hoping, and always believing.
They say that I was always okay
They say I have been living good days

This pain is more than I can endure
Of this, I know that I am sure
It's cutting me deeper than the knives
We use in our daily lives

They kept my silence, tied to a leash
High up from my grasp, so I could never reach
Least the one I grabbed would not let me down
Instead it hoisted me up, right above the ground

I am tired of hurting, I am tired of lying
I have been tired of hiding, and now I am dying.
They said that I was never fixed
And my voice was never missed

From my lungs, the air escapes
Tears streaming down my fragile face
With no one to save me from my plight
And my soul races free into the night

"Of Them Who Spoke" becomes the new title for the poem once called "The Suicidal Child (Speaks to the World)" it was heavily and emotionally charged as it dealt amongst the topic of young teenagers who lost their lives to suicide after suffering to abuse, by bullies at school or abuse at home, both physically and emotionally.

Even reading and rewriting the stanzas, brought back the memory of why I wrote it, and even for a moment in time, when I too could have related.

Because of this, a second poem will be scheduled alongside this, to make up as a post for those not keen on this reading this topic.

This one, will not be for everyone to read, but it is a message to share. Please seek help if you are not feeling your best in life and do make an effort to look out for any friends, families or loved ones that may be undergoing something similar or much worse.
