I've been accepted.

Believe me im just as suprised as you are, and I already moved into my own dorm room. Life is... suprisingly good right now, everything seems to be going the way it's supposed to go. Still, I am a little nervous for today. 

It'll be my first day of Class and I don't know what that will be like.

All the other students had definitely been to some sort of facility, where they learn in a similar fashion, like this.

But for me it's the very first time.

Anyway, I should probably get my cloak on and be on my way. Class is going to start any minute now.

As I enter the classroom I notice that all of the students seem to have found themselves in groups already. Some of them probably were already friends, prior to coming this academy. I hope I can find some friends here aswell, it'd be nice, not to be on my own, for a change. 

*Bell rings* 

"Ehem, Welcome every one."

It's our Professor, Professor Cain.

"As you already know, I'll be in charge of your training. By the end of your training, I hope to be able to call you all Protectors of our country, Satis."

Im afraid, I won't be. 

"Your training will consist of only two, but demanding years, after that you can choose how you want to contribute"

That's awfully conveniant

"That will all depend on the skills and abilities you possess. But first things first, I want you all to formaly Introduce yourselves"

Our class has a total of 50 students. Therefore I believe regardless of an introduction, most people will remain strangers to each other. Unless they already know each other or they somehow grab your attention. And there were a few that grabbed my attention.

Roland Redmane, you could feel the burning passion for serving his country, just by the tone of his voice and the look on his face. He and I probably don't share the same perspective on things, I doubt I'll be able to be good friends with him. 

But somehow he still fascinates me. 

Next there was, Alloy Dives. She seemed pretty full of herself, in a nutshell. She's probably from an exceptionally wealthy family and has some sort of high standing. I don't think we could be good friends either. I should actually stay away from her, she seems like trouble.

Then there was, Maddy Scarlet. The thing about her that grabbed my attention was... just her hair. I mean her hair almost looked alive and had this orange glow to it, almost as if mana was coursing through it. 

She basically had really cool hair, maybe I could make friends with her.

Another person that I noticed and everyone else probably noticed was, Gale Viridian. He just seemed like a really nice and peaceful person, that wants to help people. His green hair somehow emphasised that. I'd be lucky to have him as a friend. 

But there also was Vera Lune. His introduction was short and he seemed to be the very opposite of Gale. I doubt he's looking to make any friends here. He seems pretty strong and competend though.

Lastly, there was Mira Hope. She was... really pretty and also seemed very nice. Her blue hair and her grey irises were beautiful. I think this is the first time I've noticed anyone in this sense, but my life is too short for a romantic relationship anyways, even if I could have one.

I'll just try too make some good friends, at the very least.

Anyways these students stood out the most to me, along a few others. But now it appears it's time for my introduction. 

Oh god

"Hello, my name is Vell Scienta... It's nice to meet all of you" 

I don't know what else to say. 

"Well Vell, do you have any particular interests? And what is it you are looking to accomplish here?"

Right, my interests.

"I want to learn more about magic and uhm... want to research it?"

I mean I can't just tell them im here because magic is fun.

"... That's great. Anyways now that the introductions are done, I'll hand out all of you or schedule and as you will see, our first lesson will be history."

I don't think I made that great of an impression. But it could have been worse and first impressions aren't everything right? Whatever. 

Atleast the lesson finally began. It seems like we're beginning with the very origin of all the magic in the world. And according to the Professor: 

All the magic in the world suddenly appeared out of nowwhere, roughly 800 years ago. It is speculated that a being with great power unleashed and shared it's magic with every other being to ever walk the earth. The basis of this believe is that magic wasn't something, that gradually people and other organisms developed. It was

something that appeared in an instant, as if it was forced on us by something. 

And we know that only a living being could possess magic. It doesn't appear naturally in anorganic matter.

It does seem to make sense.

Our next lesson will be Mana theory. Until then.
