Ravyn Pain, age 16

Scene: High School Hallway

Ravyn, age 16, is at school, reading more books about magic when some bullies approach him. They decide to physically harass him by slamming him into his locker.

Ravyn: "АЙ! Перестаньте!!" (OUCH! Stop it!!)

Bully 1: Nah! I don't care if you want me to stop! We're gonna mess you up!

He starts punching Ravyn while Ravyn tries to shield his face.

Bully 2: How cute, trying to protect yourself there!

Bully 2 grabs Ravyn's arms so Bully 1 can punch him in the face which he does.

Ravyn starts crying loudly.

Bully 2: You're just a baby with that stupid pacifier you're wearing!

Suddenly, Bully 2 gets punched in the face by someone.

Moonapple: LEAVE HER ALONE, ASSHOLES!

Bully 1: What the—? looks up What's your problem, Moonapple? You bully people too!

Moonapple: He's part of my group, first of all. Second of all, I don't bully people because they're disabled like you do!

Ravyn is still crying in the background. One of Moonapple's friends tries to calm him down but fails, as Ravyn starts having a meltdown and attacks Moonapple's friend.

Moonapple: Get away from him! Give him space I think he's having a meltdown! He gets aggressive when that happens!

Ravyn suddenly stands up and runs away. Moonapple follows from a distance to keep track of him. She finds him under the tree he always sits at during recess.

Moonapple: Ravyn... here.

She offers her Sushincat plush. Ravyn hugs it tightly. After a while, he slowly crawls toward her and lies down across her legs.

Ravyn: "Благодарю вас... (Thank you...)

...Вы очень добры ко мне." (You are very kind to me.)

Moonapple: You're welcome... You're one of us now. And I'll take care of them later.

She says it in a dangerously quiet tone.

Ravyn: "Не надо... Не причиняйте больше боли... пожалуйста." (Don't... no more hurting... please.)

Moonapple: Yeah, you won't talk me out of this. I'm sorry, Ravyn.

Ravyn lays back down on her lap and slowly falls asleep.

Later After School Ends

Moonapple carries Ravyn to his mom, who's waiting for him.

Mom: What happened???

Moonapple: The bullies got physical this time. They're going to regret it later.

Mom: Please don't get yourself into trouble, Moonapple...

Moonapple: Nah, I'm already in trouble. Might as well finish the job.

Moonapple runs off to deal with the bullies.

Ravyn's mom shakes her head and gently holds Ravyn close.

Mom: You're safe now, Ravyn.

End.
