The Celestial Betrayal, Through Time and Tears

Chapter Fourteen Part One

Chapter Fourteen Part One

Jul 07, 2025

After Elizebeth used the necklace's powers we were all separated. I was the first one to open my eyes in a new world I had never seen. What I remember most was the pain and when I saw my chest arm and legs had bandages I knew I had barely escaped with my life. The first person to greet me was an older man named Matteo

“You sir are very lucky to be alive. A man in the corner of the small room says. May I ask what's your name?”

“My name is Jason, Shield of Velmora.”

“Well Jason your armor and clothes are quite strange but nonetheless we put them up next to you after my daughter sensed a power from them that is not of this world. There's no need to have answers right now just rest but please sir understand we are weak elderly couple with a daughter and we don't want any trouble.”

“I understand. Once I'm healed I'll leave”

“Thank you. Now I'll send my daughter in with the medicine and to change your bandage.”

“Thank thy kind elder.”

“Yes, yes rest up.”

When I first saw her enter I was confused by her garments. They seemed like those of the Luxverra  clan.

“You please tell me where am I?”

“You are in Italy.”

“Is that a sub clan of Luxverra? Your garments seem like it's from their clan.”

“Sir I don't know what that clan is or what a clan is but this is a country where we reside.”

“Country? But that type of garment…”

“This garment is a traditional garment used during festivals. We were on our way home when we stumbled upon you and I haven't had a chance to change yet.”

“Festival? May I ask what year is it in this mortal world?”

“It's the yearXXXX.”

Jason laughed defeatedly

“Sir”

1000 mortal years into the future. Jason tears welled up in his eyes. “Please pass me my armor. It will not harm you.”

“Here you go sir.”

“Your father said you could feel a power from my armor. Can you still sense it?”

“No sir.”

As I thought, she used an Absorption relic on me. She ripped my powers from me along with my oath.Fate really wanted me dead.

Wait beth and Louis

“Was there a woman and man with me? They were with me when the blast happened.”

“No sir, we found no one else with you.”

“Then where could they have gone?” Juju stands and winces in pain. I'm mortal. I have no powers and I have no way to contact my people. I have nothing.

“Sire this was found near you too.”

My clan's stone. This still seems to be producing power.

“My clan's stone. Thank you. Thank you. Its powers seem weak but it still has life.” Juju's smile widened more and more with each word. “If given time it can replenish and then I can go back.”

Jason wraps his arms around her because of the joy he feels. “Thank you. But I'm unsure how long it will take. In my time, only a week, but a week in my world is decades here.” Juju notices her blushing face and releases her once seeing how the situation could be unpleasant for her.

“Well sir there is a farm in the village that needs a field worker. Once you're better, maybe you can work there and live your days there working until then.”

“Yes, that sounds like a good idea.” Her eyes remind me of the ocean. “ By the way my name is Jason but my friends call me Juju”

“Well Mr.Juju My name is Celeste and welcome to our village.”

Many years passed as I waited. I worked on that nearby farm Celeste had told me about and during that time she and I became close. After sometime I fell in love with her. Her black hair and deep blue eyes were my world. So much so I made an oath to be her husband. She made this strange world feel like home and it was peaceful.

But all good things must come to an end and that happened when a gang entered the village trying to take it over. They were violent and merciless. They attacked the weak and preyed on the older ones. They even came to my home and attacked my father in law one day out in the field. At that point I challenged them and I defeated them on my own but that marked us as a target. They wanted blood for their own and we wanted peace.  So I did what was best.  And that was to enter the criminal world.

I gained power to protect the weak. My former self would probably be ashamed but I wasn't and I wouldn't change it for the world.

During that time I looked for the others but time passed without finding anyone. Then one day  I ended up finding Beth. She was working at a bake shop with an older woman and a teen who called her big sister in a condescending tone and seemed quite rude to her but Beth seemed unbothered. The older woman seemed nice to her though. When she saw me her eyes took a moment to see it was me. I had become older and more tired looking.

“Juju?” Beth whispered my name and her voice took me back in time. “Juju is it really you? What happened and  why do you have tattoos? What type of clothing is that you're wearing? Juju you, you look like you've aged. Where have you been?

“Beth.”

“Juju, I've been looking for you and Louis for months.”

Juju holds her hands gently hoping that it softens the blow of his words.

“Beth, it's been 40 years for me, and  things are different but I'm so glad to find you my friend. Let's talk somewhere more private. We have much to say.” Jujus' face softened as he looked at her.

Angie has been dealt a rough hand. She lost her mother, and ended up abused by her adopted mother. Almost sold to a creep and lost some people in death that she loved like family. It Just seems like Fate wont let her be. She ends her short life in a ditch begging to not be killed. Broken and killed by the man she loves in her last moments she hears a voice. Then she wakes up in her room five years before the tragedy with a second chance. But this second chance comes with a price she wasn't prepared for.

What would you do if you were given a do-over?
Would you treasure the ones you love more?
Would you play the lottery, knowing the winning numbers?
Would you chase after that one person you foolishly let go?

Well, what about murder? Seeking revenge might end up on that plate too.
Or maybe you’d start digging into old, unanswered questions?

I don’t know about you, but Angie here — she’s got a lot of bones to pick with someone.
Or is it someones?
Oh, I don’t know... but I thought it would be fun to see what she would do if given a second chance.

See, Angie’s a smart child — maybe too smart.
So smart she got herself killed.
She noticed things, trusted the wrong people... tsk, tsk, tsk.
She was so sweet — you know, before the whole "being murdered" thing.

So, are you ready to see how Angie uses that second chance?
Might want to grab some popcorn while we watch, because this is going to be a long —and I mean long — ride.
