Before the crash, the night sky on Earth was covered in a starry, void-like blanket, clear from any clouds. The moon illuminated the area in a magical glow, with fireflies dancing in the air, blinking their lights off and on, like light bulbs on a tree.

The night was chilly and damp, causing bumps to appear as the chill licked the skin of anyone who was passing by. The breeze of the wind howled in a tune that picked up, giving it a chilling calmness down anyone's spine.

Though the night was calm in a creepy way, it hinted at a peaceful feeling within its wake. However, it was quickly erupted by an 18-year-old girl yelling at Godfrey.

"Don't you dare go outside, Godfrey! It is far too cold out there!" she snapped with a demanding yet concerning tone.

"Fine, I won't!" he snapped back with defiance.

However, Godfrey swung his red jacket around him, putting on an arm in the sleeve, he mumbled in annoyance, "Tell me what to do and what not to do, geez, she acts like she is my mother." he then rotated his cap backwards and glared at the windows as he opens it. Godfrey climbs out the window, but before he leaves, he quickly grabs his heart locket with a picture of his parents.

He carefully focuses his footing and remains stealthy, trying to remain undetected by the 18-year-old girl, while still trying to climb down to the ground. When he finally got to a safe place, he jumped down, causing the gutters to smack against the side of the apartment, which caused her to look outside through the window, but thankfully, the wind was blowing so hard that she thought it was the wind, causing a tree branch to smack the wall of the building with a loud thud, while he hid in the shadows of the night.

Godfrey traveled down the streets through back alleys, catching the fireflies that danced upon the night. The town was a quiet and peaceful town with no trouble in sight, though the reason for that was because of the police patrolling the area at night. So, not only was he catching fireflies, he was watching his surroundings so he didn't get caught. he also was careful not to shine his flashlight up in the sky as it would have given his location.

Suddenly, a loud bang echoed through the air, waking the neighborhood and causing Godfrey to jump out of his skin as he quickly looked up to the sky. He froze in fear and didn't notice that a police car was right by him until he saw the flashing lights, yet the police officers were looking up in the sky also, and Godfrey heard an officer announce in shock and fear, "What in the world?"

Godfrey quickly turned his head and saw the police car, and the officers were right by him. With shiftness and scared of getting caught, he quickly took cover behind a fence and a large trash bin, which caught one of the officers' attention, and he shined his light over to the trash bin. Godfrey covered his mouth a rolled up in a ball as a word travel through his mind more than once, which was the word, "crap!"

Another loud bang forms, echoing through the streets, which makes Godfrey jump out of his skin, yet again. Yet, this loud bang gave him the cover he needed as the officers called in the loud noises and headed back to the station to get further orders on what was happening. Godfrey looked up in the sky and saw what seemed to be shooting stars or comets shooting across the sky, which seemed to crash nearby.

Suddenly, Godfrey noticed that the officers drove off in a hurry, while he also noticed that the air felt a bit colder, licking his skin and sending not only a chill down his spine, but also a form of excitement and adventure in his veins. He also noticed that the fireflies had completely wandered off, and the ones in the jar he was catching them in had stopped glowing, which added to his curiosity about what in the world was going on.

Godfrey's adventurous spirit took over him, making him find out what was going on. 

He thought to him self, "That couldn't be just a shooting star, I wonder if it was a comet from space! Oh man, that would be so cool!"

He traveled through the streets, his mind wandering in awe and wonder, to know what was going on and what he might find. As the streets ended, he continued through the woods and forests, not realising how far he was going. His eyes sparkled with delight and wonder with a huge smile on his face, enjoying him self within the midnight air. He never would have done this before, but whatever crashed nearby really got his attention.

As Godfrey marched forward, his flashlight swayed with each step he took, yet the woods snapped him out of his state, and his heart started to beat faster not only in fear, but in excitement. He rubbed the heart locket with his parents' picture in it as he continued treading through the woods, over logs, stones, and gulping in fear as noises appeared.

He murmured in a prayer, "Mom, Dad, protect me, I don't know what I am doing anymore."

As he continues through the woods, he finally finds the scrap marks of the crash site. His eyes widen in shock as he sees heated scrapes of metal and small blazes of fire in the scene. He followed the scrap marks carefully and slowly, not knowing what to expect. Trees were knocked over, and dirt was dug into, leaving a path to whatever caused such destruction.

Godfrey finally saw what made the choa in the woods. His eyes widened in shock and excitement, his heart pounded wildly in his chest, and a nervous, but goofy grin formed on his face, as he saw it wasn't a shooting star or a comet. It was a spaceship, A spaceship that crashlanded on Earth.

Words escaped his lips as his eyes widened in delight, "cool."

Sparks continue to fly out of the spaceship and bounce off the mound of dirt on the ground. Yet, Godfrey's foot continued forward towards the danger and the spaceship. Godfrey put his flashlight in his mouth and began to dig through the mound of dirt that buried the spaceship. He didn't know why, but his body moved on its own like his adventurous spirit took over again.

He mumbled with the flashlight in his mouth and said to him self with excitement, "To think it wasn't a shooting star or a comet, but a spaceship, how cool this is." he continued to dig through the mound of dirt, while breathing heavily with excitement as he asked in wonder, "i wonder if there is any aliens in here?" then he asked outloud trying to get an answer from inside the ship, "hello, anyone here? I come in peace."

As he continued to dig through the mound of dirt, he spotted the little alien girl who seemed only 8 years old, 2 years younger than him. 

He shines the flashlight at her, his eyes widen in shock, excitement, and a bit of fear as he spots her and asks, "Woah, hello there, you're an alien, aren't you?"

She seemed completely scared of him. She was backing up in a corner of the ship, trying to move backwards, but wasn't budging an inch, and shaking her head and saying something, but he couldn't understand her, yet he knew the signs of fear.

He put out his hand, trying to calm her down, and calmly said, "Whoa, woah, I am not going to hurt you." he held out his hand as a greeting as he added, "my name is Godfrey struggleman, i am a friend." a gentle smile formed on his face as he adds, "i am excited to meet you?"

Godfrey spotted something that pulled on his heart and caused him to tear up in pain as his voice broke, and he covered his mouth in shock. What he saw were the hands of the little alien girl's parents. His voice cracked and tears fell from his eyes as he asked with sympathy, "Oh no, are those your mom and dad?" he fell backwards onto his buttocks in shock and fear as he looked at the little girl with concern.

The little alien girl tilts her head in confusion yet still fear, she slowly crawls over to Godyfrey like a cat and reaches over to wipe the tears from his eyes as she asks in her alien language, "phi?" Then she showed him his tear on her finger, while still tilting her head in confusion.

At first, Godfrey was scared, his heart raced in fear as he didn't know what she was doing, but when he saw her wipe a tear from his face and trying to ask him something, he made a guess, asking, "Are you asking why I am crying?" 

He then opened up his heart locket and showed her his parents as he points at himself and her as he says, "you and me are the same. We lost our parents." the little alien girl looks at the locket and the picture touched it with her finger and looked back at Godfrey, which Godfrey was giving her a sad, yet conforting look.
