"So what did you come in here for in the first place? Were you looking for me and Kay?"

I quirked my eyebrows at the new name I just heard.

"Kay?"

"It's the nickname I gave Kayla."

Nodding my head in understanding, I continued with the conversation.

"Well, I did come to find you. I was going to tell you about the plan I had."

"You have a plan?"

"Well, an idea of one."

"What do you have so far?"

"First on the list is to make all of you tier 1s."

"All of us? Right, that wolf did mention you being stronger among the rest of us. Something like that. How are you going to do that?"

"Well, it's pretty easy to reach tier 1. All you have to do is know at least 3 or more skills. I can teach y'all some easily by going off of mine."

Michelle moves her hand so she can touch Kayla's hair and massage her scalp. 

"How about you teach me now while Kayla is sleeping? So that I can teach her too in case she doesn't get your method of teaching."

"Alright."

I looked at my skills and decided to go with the safest one to teach currently. 

"Okay, I have a skill called [Barrier], but your skill will be more of a shield since it won't go all around you."

She nodded and continued to listen to my explanation.

"I'm going to try to help you learn a skill called [Water Shield]. If you wanna change the name later on, you can, but I just chose this simplistic name for now. 

Your goal is to have water in front of you, strong enough to withstand a punch from me. After that, you can probably ask Casey for help. Her [Ability] is about strength; it will help both of you out in the long run." 

"So, make the water as strong as a shield? Got it."

She raised her hand and muttered 'Water Shield' under her breath. Her water formed to make a circular-looking shield. 

I cocked my hand back ready to punch it. When it was fully formed, I went for it. 

I thought my hand would go through her water, but surprisingly, it just molded to the shape of my fist. 

I pulled my hand back and got ready for her to reform her shield. Once she was ready, I did the same thing again. 

This time, it barely budged at all. 

We did the same thing one more time, and her shield fully blocked my punch, stopping it. 

"Did you get a new skill?"

Michelle made her water go away before looking at her [Status]. 

She gasped and nodded back at me. She smiled and smirked at me cheekily. 

"I'm going to be way better now that I know I can make my own skills. Just watch, and I'll be even better than you soon."

"Yeah, right."

We couldn't help but laugh at each other's antics. 

'I might hate my sister sometimes, but she is the one who gets me the most. My ride or die.'

Kayla got up from her slumber from our exaggerated laughter. She couldn't help but laugh with us even though she had just woken up. 

"What's going on?"

Michelle shook her head, saying 'it's nothing', and told her about how I was teaching her some more skills. 

"Really? I definitely need help with it then. Hopefully, training with it more could help me out too."

"Yeah, I'll teach your mom about how to use her skills differently; she's more physical than anything else."

"True."

I got up from where I was sitting and made my way out of the employee room. Waving bye to them, I made my way back to the front of the store. 

I saw that Casey was doing better than earlier, and calmed myself down. 

'At least she is better. Can't keep going with a mindset like that.'

I sat back down in my little corner and thought about the situation we were currently in with the werewolves.

'Hazor is tier 2, so he isn't all that strong. It's not hard to get to tier 1, all you need to do is know more skills but as a tier 2, he is more experienced with knowing how to use his skills. I think we can easily overthrow him. But the problem isn't him, it's the Alpha. How strong are they?'

I rubbed my forehead. Just thinking of all the problems that were going on made my head hurt. 

I haven't even rested since we came back from the outside. So, I took the jacket that I found and put it over myself to get a bit of rest for the days that are coming ahead of me.

When I woke up, it was still midnight. I was a bit tired still, so I wanted to head back to sleep, but something had caught my attention. I heard someone talking, not just anyone, but a werewolf.

"Do we really have to stay out all the time and watch these humans? Alpha was just as weak as us when we came into the world. We all had our powers reset like we were newborn babies. She can't be that strong."

"If you really think you can take her on, then challenge her. You can become Alpha if you don't think she is suitable to lead. That's why we have them, idiot."

I sat up a bit when the conversation was getting interesting. I could hear them through the wall. They were stationed around the corner from the store.

I heard the werewolf growling at their partner. 

"I will then! As soon as I get back to the pack, I will challenge her for her rank!"

After that, the wolf stormed off in the direction of the cafeteria. I heard the wolf that stayed in position scoff and laugh.

'Sounds more like he's cackling to me.'

"He really thinks he can beat a tier 3? I'm not gonna stop him if he wants to dig his own grave. In fact, I'll help him out. We don't need someone like that in our pack anyway."

'Well, now I've got my answers.'
