On the next day, Shin keeps waiting in his cabin, wondering why Soul is getting late. Most of the time it's Soul to come to the office first. "Why haven't he arrived yet?" His thoughts giving a sign of Shin longing for Soul. "Should I call him?" As Shin becomes impatient, he feels the urge to activate his CEO Mode again, "No! He should be the one to inform me." Shin gets up from his chair and slams the desk as he shouts, "How Dare He-" but gets disrupted by a faint voice, almost endangered, most likely to get scared for his life by the CEO's shouting. "Oh!" Shin sits back and fixes his tie, "Say."

"Um, Mr. Shin! Kim Soul asked me to submit his absent letter." Gyul, Soul's colleague, moreover Soul's best friend since he joined this company, speaks while holding the urge to run away without doing the favor for his friend.

"Okay,' Shin replies but his curiosity makes him ask Gyul again even when he proceeds to leave the cabin, "By the way, what happened to him?"

"He walked back home in the rain last night so he caught cold. Okay sir I'm leaving then." By saying this, Gyul leaves in a speed of light.

"So he walked in rain. I should've dropped him." As he thinks, he again gets frustrated, "Ahh! Why does it bother me?!"

Shin decides to focus on his work. He doesn't have attachment issues now and it's not like he didn't do such things before. Work is his sole weapon of conducting detachment. So it's time for him to indulge in his work. The rest of the afternoon went like this until when he gets a dispute in his job.

"Oh! This document is missing. That kid must have it." Without thinking twice, he calls Soul, "Do you have this* document with you?" Shin asks as Soul picks up the call.

"Oh yes. Give me a minute. I'll mail it." Soul speaks in a slow pace unlike his regular tone.

"Ok." Shin cuts the call, "He indeed is sick." Shin again thinks about Soul but soon brushes it off by working on the new document. The clock ran fast indicating Shin to stop now and go home. Shin sighs as his eyes lands on the clock, showing it's already 8. He again overworked himself just to make himself stop from thinking about someone, though he had done it before many times.

As he gets in his car, he again thinks, "Should I call him?" He takes a deep breath. Now he himself don't know how to control the conflicts between his brain and heart.

Even an academically intelligent person like Shin can get defeated by the conflicts and storms in mind. So here he comes in front of Soul's apartment and it's too late to go back now. "Never mind" As he says, he gets off his car and heads to the reception.

"Hello ma'am, can you please tell me Kim Soul's condo number?" Shin asks the lady at the reception very politely.

"Of course! But you need to register your phone number. I'll let him know that he's having a visitor."

"Ok tell him that his friend is here."

The receptionist calls Soul and talks with him. As she cuts the call, she hands Shin a keycard saying, "Soul asked me to give you his keycard as he's sick."

"Ok thanks." Shin takes the keycards and heads towards Soul's room.

As he reaches in front of Soul's condo, he rethink's his life decisions, "Should I really go in? Okay! I can do this." As he unlocks the door and enters the condo a cat jumps on him making him scare till death. His scream was dramatic enough to irritate anyone like it is a cat, not a tiger who jumped on you, Shin. As the cat clings onto Shin a faint shout comes from a distance,

"What the heck Gyul! Stop freaking screamin-" Soul's words get stuck in his throat as his eyes land on the CEO having beef with cat. After processing the situation, he again speaks but this time in a pleading way, "I'm so sorry sir. I thought it was Gyul. Nano (the cat) come here baby."

"Ugh! I just ruined my reputation." Shin thinks while straightening up after the cat leaves him alone but he finds it cute how Soul called for his cat. All he could do is to act like fixing his tie.

"I'm sorry for that. I thought Gyul came here. I-"

"Ok! Ok! It's not my office so drop the formalities. I just came here to check on you." Shin says while looking away.

"Oh! Well..." Soul chuckles, "...you have cat fur all over your shirt. Let me help you."

As Soul comes near Shin, Shin almost screams a NO out of panic yet he manages to utter, "Let me do it myself."

Soul just pouts. Later he suggests, "Okay sir. There is the washroom. You can help yourself."

Shin leaves without saying another word. He removes his clothes and takes a shower, thinking, "It wasn't that awkward. I should stop overthinking." In the meantime, Soul just plays with Nano which is his only thing to do when he's home. His attention breaks from his cat by a fake cough. Soul almost forgets to breathe when his eyes land on Shin who is waiting outside the washroom while wrapping a towel around his waist. The water dripping from his wet hair, the toned abs shining, a fresh smell of body shower which is very familiar to Soul. It takes so much time to process for Soul so Shin just speaks up, "Now what?"

"Huh! Oh right! Clothes. Come have a sit. I'll bring you something to wear." Soul gets up from his bed looking all red and goes towards his wardrobe. While Soul was busy deciding what he should pick for his boss to wear, the boss, Shin, stands beside the bed reading the room. Soul's room has less furniture but it looks like he put efforts decorating his condo. He can feel the warmth when someone builds something with love. Then Soul calls Shin to come over and choose for his own. As Shin comes over the wardrobe, he almost frowns, "You wear this!"

"They're not that cheap." Soul pouts.

The red Soul pouting with a doe eye makes Shin malfunction, making him blink his eyes while he replies, "No, I mean why your wardrobe is so colorful? Mine is all black n white!"

"I love pastel colors."

"But I-"

"Just try it. I bet you'll look good in these colors." As Soul says, he brings out a blue hoodie and a white track pant and apparently forces Shin to wear them.

"You look cute." Soul says.

"Soul!" Shin becomes a shy mess, getting all red.

"It's you who told me to drop formalities. Oh wait! You probably didn't have dinner. Let me make something." Just when Soul was about to leave, Shin grabs his wrist with one hand and put his other hand on Shin's temple. Thanks to Soul's fever that it confused Shin whether Soul is red because he's sick or he's just blushing.

"You still have fever. Go sit. I'll cook for you." Shin speaks, his voice having a mix of concern and sincerity.

"Hm? You can cook!" Soul asks being confused.

"Just wait and watch." Shin smirks and heads towards the kitchen.

Soul decides to spend the time with his cat but his boss working in the kitchen is making him both curious and stressed at the same time. "He came to check on me and now is cooking dinner for me. Is this really Mr. Shin or some ghost in disguise?"

"Soul! Taste it." Shin calls him sounding all excited and bubbly.

Soul jumps off his bed and rushes towards the tables where Shin is waiting with his recipe. An appetizing aroma from the bowl of ramyeon while Shin organizes the chopsticks for both of them. Soul can't deny that his boss looks more edible that the ramyeon. As Soul settles himself in the dining table, the food gets served by his boss. Soul was lost thinking about how he unlocked this premium version of Mr. Shin when Shin again speaks,

"Make sure to blow it before eating."

Soul hums and tastes the ramyeon. At a first bite, he exclaims, "Wow! I didn't expect the food to be this good!"

Shin smiles seeing Soul really enjoying his dinner yet he puts a smirk on and replies in a raspy voice, "Told you," which somehow makes Soul curl up.

After both of them finish their dinner, Shin decides to leave.

"Okay Soul! I should go now." Shin speaks while gathering his clothes.

"It's too late..." Soul says while pointing at the clock which shows it is almost 11, "You can crash here."

"What!"

"You can sleep at my place." Soul replies assuring Shin that it's fine from his side.

"Is it okay?" Shin asks as a tension rises up inside himself which soon fades away by Soul saying, "Hum! Just don't tell anyone at the office."

"But-" Shin slightly points his index finger towards the cat on the bed who is already sending Shin death glares.

"Oh!" Soul laughs as he picks up Nano and continues, "He sleeps with me every day but he can sleep in his own bed for today." As he says, he kisses Nano's head but Nano doesn't seem to be pleased. Shin finds it too cute to just disagree with Soul so he decides to sleep here. The warmth of Soul's bed makes Shin fall asleep faster than usual. Where Soul just can't believe that the one of the richest businessman's only son, who is most likely to get hate for his blunt attitude, is sleeping peacefully beside him. All the things that Mr. Shin has done for him makes him not to believe on any allegation that he has been listening to since years. At least he now knows that Mr. Shin is not a bad person.

"So you have a soft side too." As Soul thinks, a smile curves on his face without him realizing.

Next morning when Soul wakes up, he finds out not Shin but a note beside his pillow.

The note says: "I've to leave early so I'm not disturbing your sleep. I've made breakfast for you. Also I've ordered some medicines. You can take another day off."

Soul feels his cheeks burning up but not for the fever. He's genuinely blushing this time. A breathe escapes between his lips, finding a way to process the whole situation.

"Ah! What on earth happened to him?" Stupid Soul questions himself while crushing the pillows to hide his embarrassment.
