Kalimat Adelaide menggema di ruang panggung yang kini menjadi kuburan sunyi.
Semua mata menoleh padanya.
Valentin mencibir."Nonsense. You're a sound engineer, not a director."
Adelaide mengangkat wajahnya. Ada air mata yang jatuh tanpa suara. "But I'm the one who keeps the rhythm... I'm the one who makes the sounds come alive. Elijah... he wants to change all the cues. Reset the stage system. He thinks I'm useless!"
Aku maju perlahan, menatapnya lurus. “You're the one who scheduled the automatic voice file at 22:36, right?”
Dia menunduk. "Yes... I programmed it... but I just wanted him to know that I can direct the perfect ending."
Arthur menyela, tajam. “And that's why you helped someone activate the hanging rope?”
Tiba-tiba Valentin melangkah maju. “Enough! No drama here. She's not alone.”
Aku berbalik padanya. “Oh? So you know who Adelaide is with?”
Valentin membuka jasnya, tangan gemetar. “She... just runs the system. But I was the one who... rewrote the final script.”
Elisa menjerit kecil. Andrei membeku.
Arthur menegaskan, “You rewrote the last part... and put it in Elijah's script?”
Valentin mengangguk perlahan. “I knew Elijah wouldn't take his death role for granted... But I also knew he couldn't resist the stage. I put a new copy in his dressing room. He read it... and refused."
Aku menyipitkan mata. “So you sent Adelaide to ‘adjust’ the system?"
Valentin terdiam. Tapi itu cukup.
Elisa mendekat, air matanya mengalir. “You guys... all playing with death... and you killed him just because he wouldn't follow your script?"
Andrei akhirnya angkat suara, lirih: “I love my brother. But this stage... turns everyone into a demon."
Adelaide ambruk. Valentin hanya tertawa pelan… pahit.
Aku mendekat dan berkata:
"You want the perfect ending? Then this is the end.
The curtains are closed. The lights go out. The audience is silent.
But this time, the applause won't come for you."
