It has been quite a while for those who have read my story so far. For people who are newly stumbling across my little story, welcome!

I have not updated this story in a long time and there are plenty of reasons for this.

One of them is that I originally came up with this story when I was 16, then worked on it for a couple more years to outline the story before I started posting chapters (which I was writing as I published). I have since realised that while I still like the story in general, there are a few things that I think need changing – again, I was 16 when I originally came up with the concept of this story. I am now 23. I have changed in some ways and stayed the same in others, but generally speaking, 7 years is a long time. I feel like I can't continue the story as-is, as I am not the same person anymore.

I still very much want to write the story, and I have been writing it. I have also been writing another story that is a prequel to this one, but is quite different.

In addition, I have had some personal stuff going on, including problems with my mental health, which made writing much harder.

I plan to rewrite the story from the beginning.

Once I am done with the story up to the last chapters I posted, I will start posting those. The number of chapters it takes to get there will be different this time.

After that, I will write until the end of the first story arc. Once I am done with that, I will start posting those chapters. Then I will finish the next arc, post when that is done, and so on. This will very likely mean that I will take breaks from posting, but when I post, I will be able to post regularly for a while.

I have deleted my Instagram account, so I will post updates on my writing progress elsewhere. I am still debating if I should make a Bluesky account or just give you a link to my website and post updates there. I will post updates to Wattpad itself as well.

I will keep the updated chapters up and label this story as the old version, so you can still read this if you want to.

I hope those of you who have enjoyed my story will enjoy the new version as well.

Update February 2026:

I want to start posting again this year, although I still need to finish a few things before doing so. Once I do I will update here again. 

I do have drafts from this old version of the story up to chapter 15 and am still wondering if I should do something with those. I only published up to chapter 6, but I may publish some of the other chapters before publishing the new story. Since I am still unsure feel free to tell me what you would prefer: being able to read more old chapters here or waiting for the new version.
