As he was caressing his new friend, Athan got an idea. Considering the size and strength that the Boro appeared to possess, a new way was found to get to the other side: ride on his friend’s back all the way across. He went on to carefully place himself onto the Boro’s back, to his surprise, the moment he got on, it began frantically moving from side to side, which led to him falling off and splashing into the water. Athan got up and looked at the playful creature, obviously it couldn't be domesticated that easily. Although a little perturbed, he got up on the Boro’s back again, this time, holding it tightly around the neck.
Determined, he was prepared to resist any shaking and without much delay, the Boro began moving hastily once more. Athan’s grip around its neck made him able to hold on and eventually, he managed to calm it down, peacefully surrendering to his will. Athan let out a sigh of relief and stared dead ahead, ready to get to the other side. Embracing the Boro yet again, he waited for it to get across…
…
Well… it didn't move one bit.
It was obvious that it wasn't just going to move on its own. It (apparently) required other factors to complete this trip. Athan on the other hand, did not really understand what he had to do in order to make it listen to him. In that moment of frustration, he loosened his grip and before he knew it, the mischievous Boro threw him off yet again.
There he was.
In the water.
Head facing the sky.
Arms wide open.
Defeated.
That DAMN witty furball.
Athan turned his head and saw the Boro roaming around aimlessly, wondering if it could ACTUALLY be of any use to him whatsoever. He noticed it going towards a bush and munching onto something, though he couldn't quite make out what it was. Rising from the river bank, he approached it and saw it eating some red berries that were growing on the plant.
Setting his sight on those fruits, curiosity conquered his mind. Truth be told, his mind hungered WAY more than his stomach ever did. After the Boro finished its lunch, it sat down with a pleasured expression and after letting out a yawn, it close its eyes. Having seen all that, Athan came closer to the berry bush and went to eat one straight from the branch, fearing it might wither like the flower if he plucked it out.
As the smooth berry touched his sensitive lips and began descending down his esophagus, Athan was taken back by its juicy and natural flavor. It was without a doubt, the greatest fruit he had ever tasted -as if he had tasted anything else before-.
Having wholeheartedly enjoyed the flavor of that delicious crop, he ate one after another and before he knew it…he was as full as the Boro itself.
