The battle was over. The sky no longer bled. The earth, once cracked and broken, slowly healed under the warm embrace of sunlight. And somewhere in that fading world, the other Aidens stood together—silent, watching as Aiden and Emily disappeared into the distance, hand in hand.
For the first time… they were free.
Broken Aiden stood still, staring at the sky. The cracks in his mask spread quietly, yet he smiled—soft, sad, but genuine. "So… he really did it," he muttered. "He gave us… peace." His form flickered, the wind slowly picking up his pieces, but there was no fear. "Thank you… for carrying the part of me that was too weak."
Cold Aiden leaned against a tree, arms crossed. He scoffed, but his eyes betrayed something softer. "Sentimental till the end, huh?" He closed his eye—the only one his mask ever allowed him—and exhaled. "Guess it’s fine… The world doesn’t need a cold version of him anymore."
Kind Aiden sat on a rock, gazing out at the horizon, his half-mask discarded beside him. "I always wondered if… maybe we were never mistakes. Maybe we were just… him. Pieces scattered across the worlds, waiting to return." He smiled gently, almost proud. "Take care of her, Aiden… You’re the only one left who can."
Ruthless Aiden scoffed loudly, kicking a stone. "What a damn waste of power," he grumbled. "Could’ve ruled the world. Instead… he chose love. Tch." He glanced at the others. "Still… not bad, I guess." He gave a lazy wave. "See ya, losers."
Coward Aiden sat quietly, holding his side where the blade once pierced him. His breathing was slow but steady. "I thought… I’d die alone," he whispered, voice trembling. "But… turns out… even I… got to see the end." He smiled, tears rolling down his cheeks. "Thank you… for not forgetting me."
One by one, their forms shimmered—light wrapping around them like a gentle farewell.
Broken Aiden was the first to fade, his body finally giving out, but his expression remained peaceful.
Cold followed next, disappearing like melting snow.
Ruthless grinned one last time before vanishing with a laugh. "Tell him… he’s lucky I’m him."
Kind Aiden placed a hand over his heart, whispering a soft prayer before dissolving into the wind.
And finally, Coward Aiden closed his eyes. "I’m… not scared anymore," he whispered. "Goodbye…"
The sky was clear. The world silent.
All that remained was the memory of them—shadows of a boy who carried too much, fought too hard, and finally… found peace.
Somewhere, in a place no one could see, their voices lingered—soft, proud, and free.
"Thank you, Aiden… for setting us free."
And just like that… the fragments of Aiden Kurose disappeared, their story finally complete.
Aiden Kurose lived an ordinary life—until the moment he died protecting the one person he cared about most. His sacrifice should’ve ended everything… but fate had other plans.
In the aftermath of his death, masked figures begin to appear—silent, haunting, and eerily familiar. Each one carries fragments of him… yet none of them are truly him. As worlds collide and reality begins to crack, Emily finds herself caught between the echoes of the one she lost and the shadows of those sent to replace him.
Friend or foe… no one knows.
Sometimes… the enemy is just another version of yourself.
